Not something I usually report on but conditions were perfect in Gulfport today for a cloud show.
Off to the east the horizon was full for about 45 degrees with those white, roiling cauliflower clouds going up to maybe 30,000 feet. It was a solid wall of roiling, bubbling clouds that,as they got higher, had a golden hue from the sun setting in the west. As they hit a certain altitude the winds from a high caught them and swept the tops off in long wisps. Gorgeous.
Great grandson, whose 13th birthday is Tuesday, was not really all that impressed but at that age a fresh, hot, juicy BK Whopper can be distracting.

Yeah, BK learned to put a little smoke/grill smell on their burgers. They still cook their own on flame so they don’t have McD’s ‘boiled meat’ taste. I get hot and juicy Whoppers that have some taste and though it’s undergone a lot of changes over the decades it still has some taste unlike the flat tasting Big Mac. I’ve given up on most fast food stops unless it’s unavoidable, there are fresh local alternatives and they’re much better.

LOL Today’s news is that I left her here in her crate and she DIDN’T pee. 🙂 I had put a towel over the crate. That may have helped. I don’t know.

Dogs don’t like to mess in their nest! It’s a sign she likes her crate and considers it home base. My doggie has never done anything in her big ole crate. She considers it her bed, when she’s not curled up on the floor next to me.

Good afternoon, aus! Remember when computers were supposed to make our lives easier…ah, yes and no.

I remember quite clearly in 1981, when my dream of heaven was to own my very own IBM Selectric typewriter, one of my bosses told me not to bother with that, get a computer and a printer. I said “a computer? At home? Why would I want a computer at home, to keep my recipes on or something?” Of course, there was no internet yet–at least for the general public. Seems like the Dark Ages now.

Good morning kiddos 🙂 !
I didn’t buy sunflowers yesterday at the Farmer’s Market, I decided to recklessly change up my routine and do something different.
My little vase is about 6 inches high, I tried to pick flowers that complimented the flowers on the vase.

Good work! I gave up on flowers in the house. Cats eat parts of them, pull them out of the vase, or worse, knock the whole thing over and play in the water on the table & the floor!

Thankfully my little dog can’t get to them, I did have to put the Aloe plants where she can’t reach them because she like to eat them!

That’s a new one. We have several outside where a dog could eat them, never had that!

I put 2 of my dying plants out on the curb hoping that someone would rescue them and they did ! Yay!

Unusual vases add so much to an arrangement. A happy grouping.

Mornin’ all ya’all! Hung out my third load of wash, successful drying on the first two so far due to HOT temperature and moderate humidity. Hoping the clouds forming from the southeast wait just a bit longer to produce the predicted precipitation.

Good day, WeeWeed! Another good column from Clarice. “…but it’s not going to be easy listening to all their lies for the next few months.”
I get annoyed enough by dumb comments from our side. Listening to or reading lies from the fascist/communist left is nearly intolerable unless they are included in a book full of refutation of the disinformation. I just purchased Kurt Schlichter’s newest book, “The 21 Biggest Lies About Donald Trump (and you!) and it’s terrific. Highly recommended!

I’m about halfway through it and agree with your assessment. Also just finished the 2nd in his 4-book series of dystopian novels–too realistic for words.

Thank you for your prayers. We did get more rain (I think), but I prayed, then took a long nap instead of staying awake and worrying. No water in the basement, so that’s good.
