Happy Fathers Day!

Haven’t read Bradbury in years. Might be time to get reacquainted.

I understand.

Never knew they had boy carhops. Look at those shorts! With cowboy boots?

Nice guy! FTA:

“I know his moods and I knew he wasn’t himself,” Moore said. “I asked him, ‘Where are your people?’ and he was like, ‘Nobody’s here’.’

Moore told him, “I expect big things from you and it’s going to be okay.”

Moore learned the student didn’t have a ride home, so he offered him a ride and asked him if he wanted to grab lunch.

Moore said he fought back tears the entire lunch at Cheesecake Factory.

“Man, I couldn’t imagine graduating high school and my folks not being there,” he said, adding that he did not ask for details about why his family was not there.

“I didn’t care,” Moore said. “At that moment, I just wanted to celebrate him. It was an amazing time.”

Works for me!

Yes, you did.

Good one!

Talent!

It is true.

Sweet!

Lovely.

If only.

That’s crazy.

Another good guy.

Beautiful.

Charlie’s prayer.

I hope all of our fathers have a wonderful day.

Love Bradbury. An interesting man who wrote thoughtful, interesting stories. My favorite was Martian Chronicles. My mother liked Illustrated Man and Something Wicked This Way Comes.

Tiny birds! Dirty dog?! Never imagined a plane hitting head on could do no damage to a ship! Love the light patterns in the paintings. And the guy who runs the 50 yard challenge!!!

Yeah, these days I often need the word shouganai to just “let it be” or as the coffee cup I saw said, “it is what it is”.
