He is doing great, his health has improved enough and his bone density is healthy enough that they are going to pull all of his teeth and fit him with dentures. That means the doctors really have faith in his survivability.

He is up at the cabin on the lake. 3 years ago he stood there crying as they shut it down thinking it would be the last time he would ever see it.

Thank you for asking and for your prayers, God is a listener ❤️🙏🏼.

Do you know that Microsoft is so politically correct that they call the praying hands 🙏🏼 *hands pressed together*.

What a world. At least my cousin is still part of it though, still fighting and still smiling, emotionally he is much better also, it was a very dark time for a long while.

Thank you again! And please keep praying for his health and that he find his way…

You know that I will lovely, thanks for the update. I just love getting to hear that he is better, and enjoying his life so much.

I have several special cousins myself, and I treasure them very much, although only one lives near me, and I don’t see her much more than the others. But oh, whenever I need her she comes running.

Yes, God is a listener! Praise be to the lord, The Dr. called me and the whatever it was is benign! I am so glad, but it was 5 months of worry, and a swollen, sore, and black and blue boobie to get here! DH is coming home from work with a celebration meal and drink!

I’m so happy for your cousin!

Dogs have become quite blasé about things outside. I let all 3 out to do their last-run-of-the-night business and not one noticed a pair of possums foraging under the cypress trees not 20 feet away. Possums looked up once and ignored the dogs too. My life’s become a rural Dilbert.

My little dog is now deaf so nothing disturbs her. I can see the whole “Meh” attitude from the dogs and the possums.

Our BD used to be the bane of possums, her picture was on their dens’ walls. Now it’s ‘meh’ for most things. At least she’s not out chasing moccasins.

My little Iggy has never a chaser. Maybe she realizes most critters would win a battle against her.

My Beagle/Terrier/Shiba Inu was like lightening when a critter was in her sight.

One time I was taking my Inu for a walk, opened the door and there were two Pit Bulls in my front yard, she charged straight at them and they took off like little puppies. Thankfully she was on her leash because her attitude was far superior to her fighting skills. (She never got into a fight but she still thought that she was all that with a cherry on top.)

We haven’t had a stray in our yard for quite some time but when we do the dogs light up like a Roman candle. My worry is that if one’s outside when a stray walks thru she’ll run off to play and it will be days before she comes back.

Morning aus. The heat has finally caught us, but it sure was nice to have almost a week of temps around 80, so mild for us. I’m taking a break from mowing, but need to go back before it gets hotter!

Good morning, aus! I’m awaiting a Walmart delivery and hoping they send everything I’ve ordered. The rules have apparently changed for delivery. No more free delivery if you have a Walmart in your area. I can now order fresh produce and other perishables but any item that’s not stocked in the local Walmart is not available via Walmart.com anymore for me. Weird!

I remember thinking all along that free delivery for an order of $35 or more was losing them money. So now they use a local delivery service which is either $7.95 or $9.95 depending upon the time of day. Plus the tip which, according to what I’ve read online, should be 20%!

Perhaps I’ll have to locate alternative suppliers. But I doubt other stores are much different. And there’s always Amazon, but I do so hate supporting Bezos.

In a world of sheep-like conformity, Hillsdale College takes a stand
By Andrea Widburg -June 19, 2020

In the 20th century, as myriad colleges gave up their intellectual independence chasing after state and federal money (and, it seems, Chinese money), Hillsdale refused to do so. As it has since its founding, it depends entirely on private donations and tuition to meet its needs. Hillsdale is also one of the few colleges in America that continues the classic inquiring tradition of a liberal education, rather than falling in line with academic leftism and mindless obedience.

In sum, Hillsdale is a bastion of intellectual liberty, founded on a moral and historic bedrock dedicated to the equal rights of all people, regardless of race or sex. So people began insisting that it issue a statement supporting Black Lives Matter.
