Good morning everyone. Didn’t quite hit 80 yesterday, and we will have a similar day today. Exceptionally nice weather for mid June.
On my early walk this morning I saw the fox again, and a deer. Great morning! Hope your day is awesome!

Good morning Menagerie! No foxes or deer in my neighborhood, but I do have a bunny family in my backyard.

Good morning, Menagerie! We’re sunny and heading toward a high of 68 degrees…61 now. Lots of deer make their home in my area but I’ve never seen a fox around.
Happy deer watching!

What a beautiful fawn. There’s an old Indian adage to help children remember the strengths of different animals: “If a leaf falls in the forest, eagle SEES it, deer HEARS it, bear SMELLS it.” One look at those ears (size relative to the rest of the head) tells the truth of the adage.

Morning Wee. Why don’t they just pull the plug and shut it down? From the article it just seems like a nest of vipers.

One of the problems with government is that noting ever dies when it’s no longer needed. Bush 1 or Clinton should have put a bullet in it over 20 years ago when its purpose evaporated but too many bureaucrats and other agencies are wrapped up in it so the necessary euthanasia for a tired, sick old dinosaur was put off, and put off and put off…
When a DC anachronism loses its purpose and is allowed to become feral without supervision this is what happens. We see this with the VOA, CIA, FBI…no adult supervision. Time to take Old Yeller out behind the barn.

Every now and then a Republican President trims some of these deadwood agencies off the tree but Democrats (due to their union connections) just add more.

Gorgeous days! A bit warm but Salt Lake City levels of humidity making it sorta nice if you stay out of the direct sun.

Good day to you, WeeWeed. It’s amazing how long people we assumed were on our side have been asleep at the switch. Those who haven’t had our nation’s good as their motive for government service have done their evil deeds and no one stopped them. No wonder they’re so arrogant and greedy.
Time for a refreshing day on the coast watching the waves while we gather the strength to fight the battles to come…

The disparities in the various videos of the incident have been a source of conversation among various groups but you can’t get the media to bring them up. You can’t get the media to talk about the police who’ve been murdered by the rioters either, the protest is the ‘thing’ and anything that detracts from it or tries to question the tasteless or illegal acts is suppressed.
If these riots were right wing w e’d have pundits from the Left all over picking the actions of the rioters to pieces, instead…crickets.

What a preposterous idea. HOWEVER, that is strange! His hair looks totally different, and look at his nose. Of course, facial features can look different at different angles, but the guy who looks like he has hair has a very wide smished-looking nose and the one of the ground looks more pointy. Hmmm??

I’ve seen lots of photos of George Floyd, and the guy they arrested had the same tattoos. Also, in a video of the (one of 7) funeral, the casket was opened, but they would not let anyone closer than about 20 feet! Everything about this seems shady, so I can see why Sundance backed off. I found some weird stuff 2 days ago on Obama’s twitter, it was erased pronto!

There is too much weird stuff going on now. I still have a lot of questions about Sandyhook. I know it happened, but I think that a lot of info was put out there to make it look like it didn’t happen so there would be a lot of controversy about it. CIA??

Good morning all.
Is it too early for a theological thought?
Wicked Son, driving back from a satellite campus, was listening to a new preacher.
This pastor had a new interpretation of “My God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken Me?”
This guy said Jesus was reciting Psalm 22, to reassure us that, even at our most sinful, God would never turn His Back on us.
Quite different – and massively more uplifting – than what we’ve all been taught.
Have re-read Psalm 22. It fits. imo
Just some thoughts. But it made my day.
Have a Great Day

Ahhhhh…sounds like you had the same ‘God will send you straight to Hell for not dotting one ‘i” that I had. I had those old hardliners who believed that, religiously, one ‘Oh s***!’ wiped out a lifetime of’ attaboys’ and sent you right to high-number level of perdition.

That reminds me of a church we went to one time just to check it out. The preacher, a Southern Baptist, was preaching on backsliding, a big topic in that church. My son was about 10 at the time and had accepted Jesus and already been baptized. He asked me as we left, if we had accepted Jesus, weren’t we saved forever? I told him “yes” and that he should just ignore that sermon. A footnote: that preacher was arrested a few weeks later, accused of molesting two young girls who were under 12.

Yeah, can’t remember over the last forty years, in NOLA alone, how many fire and brimstone preachers/ministers have been arrested on morals charges. Usually they cop a ‘Lord I have sinned’ stance, make an impassioned plea for forgiveness and some actually do reform.

Oh yes.
Girls were not allowed to be alter boys then. I, of course, sneaked out from choir practice and checked out the entire alter area, circa 3rd or 5th grade.
Truly believed I was going to hell for that.

I’ve mentioned before that my parochial school was staffed with Old World, Eastern European and French Canadian nuns who used to believe corporal, more towards corporeal, punishment for perceived religious infractions.
Those were the days, legalities have reined in what might be seen as abuse now. can distinctly remember a kid in our class whose mother had died being told, in class, his mother was looking down on him and suffering in her heart for his acting up in class and God’s divine anger at fallible mortals making minuscule mistakes. And they wonder why so many have wandered away from churches.

Well, I finally got my biopsy done yesterday and it didn’t hurt near as much as I feared. I’m such an old fraidycat. Just when they were about to proceed, the machine broke! Just my luck. But they had spare parts and patched it up forthwith!
I won’t know the results until probably Monday, but I’m glad they finally did something. I’m a bit sore this morning, but not too bad. I wouldn’t mind a little prayer.

I went over to a local TV station website and ran across this story. It’s out of Tennessee but the local station didn’t even bother to correct it:
“The popular Gatlinburg Skybridge closed Monday night after a guest channeled their inner Pete Rose and attempted a “baseball-style slide” on the glass portion of the center of the bridge. A piece of metal on their clothes chipped the protective outer-layer of one of the thick glass panels.”
I guess it’s futile, sort of like getting them to stop saying: “…the victim was shot in the street.”, we all know how painful it is to be shot in our street.
