Way back in the late 60s we were shown a wonderful little grotto outside of Murfreesboro, TN. It had a large rock overhang shading a pool, good fishing, we rarely ever saw anyone else at it. Imagine my surprise some 30 years later when I was watching a travel show the showed it had been turned i to a park – people all over. Times change.

Out of all of the city council only 3 signed statement condemning our drunken councilman who crashed his city-owned SUV into a citizens car. The mayor basically made excuses for him, including how people who’ve been locked down (he was???) might overreact to the sudden Phase 2 (opening the bars).

The councilmember said, thru a release, that he was entering a treatment program blah, blah, blah. The issue’s come out, though, about he and the other councilmembers having lights and sirens…let’s see if that has legs.

The Crimestoppers director pointed out that most private organizations just expect employees to use their own cars and pay them mileage. Hint hint.

Aside from the potential for fraud and their awarding themselves huge per diem rates, I don’t see anything wrong with that. I’d also go for the city leasing one for them – a reasonable one – with a set insurance level – as a fallback.

Brings to mind how, almost immediately after Katrina, some of the major automakers in the US gave the city free cars to replace those hundreds drowned in the flood. Understanding was that they were to be used for 1st responders but the city council grabbed a bunch for themselves and, when caught, tried to explain why they needed them more than police, fire emts, etc. Politicians.

Mornin’ everyone. Woke up about 4:30 this morning and made the mistake of looking at the mail since I couldn’t seem to go back to sleep. Boy, was that a mistake. I happened to see that some cops in NY were poisoned by bleach at the Shake Shak. Then, I couldn’t even think about closing my eyes again. 🙄

Unusual, the MSM has been suppressing the stories about police injured or killed by rioters. The stories are available on police sites but not on the regular MSM.

So far I’ve seen one PD in New York where officers held a mass resignation over the Chief cozying up the rioters and one in North Caroline where the city’s entire SWAT team resigned their duties for the same reason. Cops are threatening actions where a judge was going to bond out rioters who’d been caught with explosives and bomb making materials while here we had that judge drop the ‘battery on a police officer’ charges against two rioters who’d just vandalized a statue in a park the mayor had let them use.

Good afternoon, aus! The story is now that the maintenance done on the machines was incorrect and someone forgot to rinse the equipment properly. Uh-huh!

Hopefully the dreary day will turn to sunny along with the rest of this week. In any event, “Star light, star bright, I wish I was on the beach tonight…in Destin, FL….

Ah, yes, Christianity is leading the way in the riots because Christians teach and believe in a God who forgives! Thus, according to these two “experts”, a person can go out and intentionally sin, then just confess the sin and God forgives…which enables the person to sin and confess over and over again without any intention of NOT committing the sin. Their false assumption shows they haven’t a clue that confession and asking for forgiveness MUST COME FROM A TRULY REPENTANT HEART which desires not to commit the sin again, relying on the Holy Spirit to guide him in following the Lord’s commands.

These two men are giving life to an old heresy that St. Jude spoke about in his letter to Christians he knew of who were listening to false teachers (see verses 3-4:

Miami imam Dr. Fadi Yousef Kablawi and British establishment academic Tom Holland are no doubt worlds apart in worldview. Holland even received numerous death threats a few years ago for his critical examination of the origins of Islam, and although Kablawi may not want Holland dead, he almost certainly disapproves of such inquiries. But there is one thing they agree on: the problem that the U.S. and the U.K. are experiencing now can be laid squarely at the feet of Christianity.

Adorable! Definitely someone I would have taken a second look at. Perhaps for President Trump’s second term he should let his hair go gray, and grow a mustache. Gray would accentuate his lovely blue eyes.
