Stella, I have not been commenting on this thread much for a while. The problem is that it takes me about an hour to go through the thread if I try to watch the videos. I have to go through, find them on the individual tweets and hunt for them. I’m not blaming you, I am sure it is my poor computer’s fault, but there it is. Just wanted to let you know. I am still reading. 🙂

Boy oh boy was this ever needed today. Was beat up pretty bad this morning next-door. So much for offering an alternate solution to the consensus of the mob.
My cats have always “fought.” Finally figured out the solution – bring out/shake the treats bag. The durn cats now “fight,” then turn and stare at me expectantly. Who’s the dummy?
The street art is wonderful, but am questioning the “everyone has a talent” idea.
So far, my only talent is redesigning knitting patterns from the 30s-40s-50s to today’s standards and sizes. But hope springs eternal.
No one knits anymore. Except me, of course

I think the dog-acceptance thing has to do with how secure the alpha dog feels. Our Daisy, now somewhere around 15, was really accepting of Chez, but Chez was a pup when they were introduced and they play together now. BD is just a self-styled bottom-of-the-pack dog, she likes it there, and I could bring Godzilla in and she’d just walk around him. We’ve sorta lucked out.
In New Orleans the pot holes in places have become so large that they’ve swallowed those orange barrels the city routinely puts in them rather than fixing them. In many places the residents decorate them, one neighborhood put a fake Xmas tree in one and decorated it for whichever season was appropriate. It went thru about 10 months worth of holidays before the city fionally plugged it.
