Ah well, after days of telling us about flooding, tornadoes, terror winds and it raining frogs in connection with the approaching Tropical Storm of Terror…they wrong about its path, it’s strength and the rainfall.

We received 4″ allday, not bad and not unusual. New Orleans was predicted to get flooded but the best the news folks could do is shots of some reporters walking around, one saying in ‘knee deep water’, in shin deep water. A shot of some Prius that shorted out trying to ford US 90 where it’s at unprotected bayou level was about it.

The ‘eye’, or more like the center of circulation, is just a few miles west of us, we’re getting sustained winds in the 20s (too dark and I’m too lazy to get my wind gauge out there) with gusts in the low30s, no problems at all. We can hear the lake overflow in a low roar to the NE but then that’s not unusual either.

We’ll see what tomorrow brings but one of the national cable channels is calling for more than 8″ for us while local stations are saying just spotty showers as the center will be well north of usand the tail it has that’s dragging the rain ain’t that strong.

Our GGS 50 miles east of us got nearly 7 inches of rain and winds right off the Gulf at about 60 MPH but they’re just about 3 miles north of the beach. Much ado about nothing…a warmup for the media scaremongers.

Just caught a minute or so of the Black Congressional Dems in a press conference about policing, I think. All of them wearing African Kente cloth shawls. Bunch of hypocrites.

If we don’t have any police the criminals can’t get arrested and the black crime rate plummets.

News is saying the House is trying to pass a funding bill with no funds for local police.

Trump saved DC from the mob
By Jacob Dreizin -June 8, 2020

On the night of Sunday, May 31, I read about the burning of the church near the White House, and, as a Department of Veterans Affairs headquarters employee[i], I received a work email stating that our two HQ buildings next to that church — the main building and the overflow building — had been “vandalized.” On Friday, June 5, I came back to D.C. to see for myself what had happened to the V.A. and surrounding areas.

Czarina went to the doctor’s today, I’m sitting outside in the parking lot (COVID and all that). I just watched a nurse exit the building to replace a small sign the wind had blown over. While she was outside she decided to pour the water out of a bucket/small trash recept\acle that thde rain had filled.

(large truck went between me and the cell tower and it all went to Hades)P…receptacle that the rain had filled. She looked at the bucket, looked where she was standing and poured the water out…she was standing downhill from the bucket. I’m glad I changed doctors.
