I imagine this is happening, to greater and lesser degrees, in many places in the USA:

This is crazy weird, which is my reason for including it here.

She was lovely. Too bad the beauty of youth does not last. Sigh.

I still have some overprinted money from the Weimar inflation, it was overprinted as the cost of printing new currency was more than the piece of paper was worth. I keep it and will pass it down as a reminder to my kids of how government fiscal policies can destroy their lives in a heartbeat, how precious metals should be a part of their safety plan.
Right now no one in the US technically ‘owns’ anything as the loose interpretation of eminent domain means if the government sees a ‘public need’ it can take anything. We’ve seen land confiscated out from under its owners for ‘public good’ at all levels of government and FDR confiscated private gold with an executive order in 1933 and nothing stops any level of government from declaring a state of emergency and confiscation what it considers to be excess levels of personal food. I don’t think most people realize the unchecked power they blithely place into the hands of their elected.
Re: Nacho Vidal: I’m sure somebody toad him not to do that but he just frogot.

Graduating medical school together. Pretty sure that was through their own hard work and persistence. Different cute animals from the usual. The paintings are so calm and beautiful.

I think a lot of people forget that in the 1970’s the White Supremacy group the ‘Aryan Nation’ headquartered right outside of Coeur d’ lene. They’ve already had more unrest & violence than most towns could ever think of.
It’s good to see the Coeur d’lene community standing strong

In the 60s/70s when Salt Lake City was getting its infusion of liberals there were rumors of some rioters coming to our nearby town. Someone mentioned that it might not be advisable as even the nuns had guns and out-of-state agitators weren’t appreciated, never mind someone who’d burn and loot. Never did have anything that amounted to anything.
