I’ve been wearing my ‘XVIII Airborne Corps’ hat largely as I couldn’t get a haircut and it looked sorta scraggly/ratty. Lately I’ve been wearing it because An Unnamed Person has been haranguing about some 40 years worth of military haircuts so I left it just short of Rapunzel-length to keep the Unnamed Person happy…ish. I wear it now as if I don’t I don’t recognize the person in the mirror.

It’s gotten me more than a few ‘thanks for your service’ compliments which always leave me a bit flummoxed, after all it was just a job. So now I’m back to defusing it by saying: “And I want to thank you for paying me while I did it!”. Adds a bit of levity and I don’t have to tell them why I’m really wearing the hat.

I always thank anyone I see who is wearing a hat that represents them as a military member. Same for people in uniform.

You chose to take on a job that most people would not, so thank you, I love America and honor the men and women who have defender her and her interests, many at great risk to themselves, and great cost to their loved ones.

So thank you Czar, Col. Ken and all here at Stella’s who have served our beautiful country.

    ENGLAND Exmoor National Park (Devon/Somerset)

    Published on May 14, 2020
Video Notes: Exmoor is a bit smaller than Dartmoor and gets fewer tourists. But it has many small and quiet roads to make a wonderful trip. Exmoor is also known by the novel Lorna Doone.

Ex-Muslims expose Muslim-Catholic dialogue as deceptive exercise in proselytizing for Islam
May 30, 2020 4:00 PM By Robert Spencer

“The chasm between Islam and Jahiliyyah [the society of unbelievers] is great, and a bridge is not to be built across it so that the people on the two sides may mix with each other, but only so that the people of Jahiliyyah may come over to Islam.” — Sayyid Qutb, Milestones, chapter 10. (Mother Mosque Foundation edition p. 140)

Fun times on Facebook. Some stranger replied to me and says the Boston Tea Party was a criminal act but the burning, riots and looting are frustration. Then told me to try being nice. I’m thinking about whether I want to tell her to not be stupid. Figure that’s a waste.

What’s wrong with this man! Apparently he doesn’t think the 1st Amendment surpasses a state law which revokes it.

I have a brown cotton tailed rabbit that lives in my garden. In the evening he plants his little butt right in the middle of the clover grass and watching the explosion of fireflies like its the 4th of July. I love sitting and watching him and the fireflies.. so peaceful
