Mornin’ everyone. 🙂 I don’t know if it is actually going to rain here. I think it is going to “look” like it is going to rain all day instead. I guess we are going to see how many people caught COVID in the next few weeks in FL. The beaches looked pretty full over the weekend.

They warned us for days that Sunday would be rainy all day, but it turned out sunny and very pleasant temps. Yesterday it rained in the afternoon down on the coast, but nothing up here. Today is supposed to be rainy, continuing through next week. So far it is grey but very pleasant here on the back porch…. Picked the few blueberries which were ripe. Watched a pair of cardinals eat flowers off the tomato plants on the back porch. Thought they ate seeds not flowers.

It is just flat miserably hot here today. We went shopping and to eat. Some places were not open for eat in dining but some were. Some people were wearing masks, some weren’t in the stores.

Hi, aus! The sun is shining here and the week supposed to be hot. I’ve been watching old Hercule Poirot episodes…most of which I’ve seen before but don’t remember who the killer is. This was a good one…

I watched all those episodes with my BFF before she died. I don’t think I would remember who did what if I rewatched them now. So, that is what I might start doing.

Michigan’s top politicians provoked devastating dam burst to protect mussels
    By Bill Weckesser – May 26, 2020

Hard to say all is going swimmingly for Michigan’s three amigas who now reign supreme in the top state government.
Governor Whitmer and Attorney General Dana Nessel will have a lot of questions to answer about the horrific dam failure and flooding last week. In a scathing story, online news source Bridge reports that freshwater “mussels” took priority over human safety.

Well, I was mowing the yard, next door neighbor wanted to talk, now I can’t get the stupid mower to crank again. Now I’m hot, aggravated, and not going to be through before suppertime.

Grenell Takes Dem Senator Mark Warner to the Woodshed in Response to Complaints About Declassification of List of Flynn Unmaskers
By Cristina Laila – Published May 26, 2020 at 1:17pm

“As you well know, the decision to declassify the names of individuals who sought to unmask the identity of General Flynn poses no risk of compromise of either sources or methods. Additionally, far from undermining the credibility of the Intelligence Community, the utmost transparency in this matter builds public trust and confidence in the Community and ensures the IC will not conceal potential abuse behind unnecessary security classification,” Grenell wrote.

We gots our economic stimulus check today…only it came as a debit card. We were a bit suspicious as when you get the card it it comes from a private company and it comes with a laundry list of charges for using it. Our suspicions were allayed when we noticed that both of our names were on the card (we filed jointly) but our names were spelled wrong. Only the government and Indian call centers can mangle our names that badly…even when the have them on record.

Yoiu can’t get anyone at IRS to ask about it, they’re closed due to COVID. You can’t talk to the debit card company until you register your card and open your account and reading the small print (there’s a wad of it) that came with the card it heavily implies that if you register your card you accept all of the conditions and that’s it.

Gonna be acallin’ that Senator’s office in the AM.

To go along with Stella’s Queen Elizabeth scone post…some fun photos of Princess Elizabeth during World War II…

Princess Elizabeth was known as truck mechanic No. 230873 in the Women’s Auxiliary Territorial Service. She was based at the Mechanical Transport Training Section in Camberley, Surrey.
