For the first time, bluebirds have moved into our Purple Martin houses. Seem to be getting along ok. One year a family of greeen flycatchers took residence on the south side of the one we can see best from the kitchen window, and they were not well accepted by the usual residents.

The only birds I have seen in my yard so far are blue jays and robins. I always have cardinals too, but haven’t seen them lately.

Robins have come and gone. Jays are always around it seems. Haven’t seen my “flying pinwheels”, the mockingbirds who always nest in low branches so I can look in at their eggs. Cardinals overwinter here. Painted buntings, orioles and lots of non-descript finches are always around. Have not seen hummingbirds yet.

I see lots of ducks flying by, white birds with long beaks, flocks of all kinds of birds that just stop in for a rest before flying on North. Also, we have a resident hawk that flies right by my sliding glass doors regularly. Not so many of the smaller birds, probably because of the hawk.

My friend put out a nice feeder and sees a pair of cardinals, blue jays, wrens, and some doves who just eat the seeds that get dropped on the ground. She also has a large raven that is too big to perch on the bird feeder, so he sits on the big hook that holds it and leans over to eat. It is funny to watch her, the cat, and the dog all watching the birds and getting a lot of enjoyment out of it. LOL

My mum has a wood duck house and said that she has seen a wood duck going into it. She also said the swans are super friendly this year (I hope that doesn’t get them in trouble). I can’t wait to get down there.

The governor of Tennessee gave the counties the go-ahead to start reopening under Phase 1 but it seems the Knox County commissioners decided to go a bit further and slap restrictions on church services in time for Sunday services.

The commissioners decided that anything outside of what they consider ‘core worship’ was prohibited: https://covid.knoxcountytn.gov/pdfs/A-Community-Strategy-for-Phased-Reopening.pdf. They banned group classes, youth services, social events, potlucks, communal snacks or food and nurseries. Oh yeah, they also banned communal books (Bibles and hymnals), baptisms as not part of ‘core worship’ and have ‘discouraged’ singing in the church as a part of the services.

Just in time Tennessee governor Bill Lee (R) issued an executive order overruling the abilities of counties or cities to set their own policies on religious services as he’s on the verge of setting his own uniform statewide policy.

I guess there’s a bright side to this pandemic in that it’s pushing those little political dictators above the board and making it easier to whack ’em…politically of course.

His exec order slammed the brakes on our own little tinpot dictator mayor here. Don’t even get me started, Wee and Pud and Stella have had to listen to me rant for a month.

He has actually made the national news as a poster boy for a poor Democrat mayor trying so hard to take care of his brainless charges whomcant possibly b e trusted and he’s being bullied by that mean ole governor.

I feel your pain Menagerie, Evers is a POS Socialist. I think he is going to cave because people aren’t listening anyhow, can’t let the narrative of “control” get away from him. I hope he falls into Lake Michigan…Arrogant Liberal Elite…

He’s also a shock trooper. The Rats have imposed little tinpot pols into deeply religious areas as part of their policy to destroy religion and religious influence in the US. While they launch a frontal attack through their surrogates they insert little guerilla pols behind the lines deep in enemy territory to sap and weaken from within.

Our governor is a socialist. Another gift from that POS turncoat Former Governor Scott Walker. The judge who lost his seat on our Supreme Court used Walker in his print ads, I talked with him face to face and told him it was a mistake and that he was misreading people about Walker and that many WI conservatives despise him now. The good judge disagreed I told him flat out it is a mistake Walker is an assh*le. I still think the Supreme Court seat was stolen by vote harvesting but the good judge did himself no favors by embracing Walker.

People here are restless and angry. About time. Kick some butt.

This hue and cry by the media and Rats to get COVID btests out there most riki tik is having it’s ‘act in haste’ consequences. Not only have some tests been returned to the maker as contaminated with COVID virus/antibodies at the factory but there are false positives and a lack of standards in general.

One of the local TV stations took one of its employees, who’d been diagnosed as COVID positive and treated in one of the major hospitals, down to several sites to be tested. He received some negatives but even those positives varied in the the density of antibodies and some tests were just ‘yes’ or ‘no’ indicators. Now what does that tell you about the reality of the infection stats we’re seeing?

    I won a gift certificate to a local salon at a silent charity auction (months ago) it was part of a basket of oils, balms and that kind of stuff, I walked by the salon yesterday after the Farmers Market and noticed this sign in the window;

I’m going to wear my Trump 2020 hat, my Trump Captain America T shirt, my Marsy’s Law pin I have as a gift for volunteering, and some flag leggings when I go in. I wonder how welcome I will be 😎?

Hopefully they will keep me safe 😄.

Wish I could go along. I’m thinking about suiting up for a trip to the mayor’s office to personally give them my opinion.

Also, I am thinking of ordering a whole wardrobe of Trump shirts to wear to church, because my fellow superior to you in every way parishioners will love it so much. And the more I think about it the more I like it. I’d have to go alone, the husband will not accompany anyone in a printed tee shirt. Still sounds like an excellent idea.

I’ll never forget the first time I ran into a fellow parishioner who had always been friendly with me, it was during the 2016 campaign and I had on a grey Trump t-shirt, we were at a local market and she tapped me on the shoulder to say hello. I turned around and she saw what I was wearing, she could not get away from me any faster if I had turned around in hockey mask with a chainsaw in my hand.

Meh. My neighbors so far have not said a word even though they have seen me in my Trump hat know Mrs. Kravitz approves, don’t know about the others, but at least they are not openly hostile and still chat on friendly terms with me.

Excellent commentary as usual from Clarice Feldman…and this is a relief to know: “We were led to believe that even asymptomatic persons could transmit the virus. We now learn that isn’t true and was based on a false account. People without fevers, coughs, sneezes cannot transmit COVID-19.”
