Good morning and Happy Sunday everyone. I slept in this morning and went out for my walk just before sunrise. Got a nice view of a large red fox crossing the road right in front of me, so I didn’t feel so bad about my late start. Have an awesome day!

I talked to my son yesterday. He works for a big company and is in the IT dept. So, he is working from home and his wife is homeschooling. He says they have these on-line meetings every day for work and get into analyzing the people who are having to stay home. He gets disgusted with the whole conversation and hangs up. He says he has been in Paradise for the last two months, being home with his wife and two daughters, and not having to drive to work.

His family does have coronary issues and his reputation for living like a hog in a Walmart is legendary. Then there’s always the outside chance that someone may have poisoned him, his government is almost a treacherous as the Democrats.
I’d like to think that the high-ranking Chinese medical group going to ‘assist’ in his treatment will contain at least one government official who’ll be talking with his sister to see how compliant to Chinese strategic needs she’ll be. I’m also betting that the Chinese are in contact with their POCs in the NK government and military and working on contingency plans. If everything falls into place I wouldn’t be surprised to see Dear Leader be the guest of honor in a lavish state funeral and his sister take over…if the NK military agrees.

Who knows, could be gamesmanship could be a goner…. if Horro Kitty is seen and looks happy I’d lean toward he is a goner. If he is dead I wonder if the MSM will mourn him like they did the Muslim terrorists…. no I don’t really…he’s President Trump’s second best friend right after Vlad in the mind of the MSM so they will say mean girl things about Kim.

There’s usually some movement in the military – what kinds tells you lots – and changes in the activities of principal political figures and, I’m sure someone’s checking on this, the nuclear and rocker corps’ movements.

I caught the very end of President Trump’s presser. He was asked about the gargoyle and answered along the line of “Yes I know what is going on with Kim, no I cannot say what it is, I wish him well, you’ll find out fairly soon.”
Also a bit later a reporter tried to quote Kim saying “Last Friday Kim Un said….” and POTUS cut her off and said something along the line of ..”He said last Friday ?? Did you say Kim Un said something on Friday? No he didn’t ….he wasn’t saying anything …”

Funny but as most folks out here live on large tracts of property no one thinks of parks, we all gots grass and trees. As the ‘Big City’ about 20 miles south done growed the has a new city park that used to be a hospital – they bulldozed it and turned it into a park with a bandshell and walking trail.
Just down the street from the new park is a much smaller one with a gazebo in it, one of those ones built back in the late 1800s where folks would gather on a weekend or holiday for a concert and picnic.
It’s interesting to see the evolution of the town. It used to be a logging and agricultural town where New Orleans people with money would buy a summer place to come to when the heat and humidity of the city was unbearable. The city south of the small river that splits the town was the main section and still retains some of its 1800s buildings but on the north side of the river it’s all 60s and newer. There are even some 20-or-more acres ‘estates’, mostly buried in trees and brush now, that used to be the suburban digs of the monied folk.
As the NOLA folks continue to infiltrate the area the older section of town is slowly being transformed too, one more Katrina and we’ll be swamped, but we get to enjoy it in the meantime.

People think when they go into the hospital that they’re a patient when in reality they’re a prospective cash cow. Your doctor decides on treatments but every action is guided by billing codes and certain treatments are more profit producing than others.
You’re going to have a hard time replacing ventilators until the hospital billing folks and the insurance carriers can come to an agreement on the replacement therapy’s profitability, lase surgery comes immediately to mind. I’m looking at knee reconstruction/replacement surgery and the local branch of my big Hospital, Inc complex doesn’t have the robotic capability. They still have a surgeon who opens your leg like a hero sandwich, chisels and grinds freestyle and post-op stuffs you into a hospital bed for a few days with all of the attendant costs of care including docs dropping in to say high and billing $150 or more for the visit. Down the street’s a surgical hospital’s that has a doc who uses a robot system that used CATs/MRIs of your knee, the doc places markers on your leg and the robot calculates the exact areas it needs to remove and place the insert on. Reports on the NIH site attest to its safety, accuracy and far less invasiveness while saying most patients go home after a one night stay at the hospital.
I’m getting flack from my Hospital, Inc who doesn’t have this system, though their corporate Hq 75 miles away does, telling me this is all hype and marketing. I’m betting that the day after, if they do, get the system they’ll do a 180 in a heartbeat. They got the hype and marketing right though, just not in the right context.
If each new medical advancement came with a guaranteed profit statement we’d be nose deep in new stuff, it’s not selling the benefits to the patient, it’s about selling the benefits to the hospital’s bottom line. See what too many years of dealing with insurance companies and hospitals does to you?

Blessed Sunday morning everyone. Today is the day that our Governor determined we could begin to emerge from our in-home quarantines. WooHoo!!!
Within two short days the landscape here has gone from absolute brown to a beautiful lush green. The trees and bushes are budding out, tulips are beginning to poke out of the ground and the grass seed I planted last fall has begun to grow. Yea….Spring has arrived!
