I have heard the term “sitting in the cat-bird seat” although I don’t really know what it means.

We bought a pair of Russian kiwi vines and they’re sitting in pots on the patio while we build the trellis setup. Well it seems that two of the outside cats have decided the leaves on the female plant are just about as good as catnip, they’re out there eating the leaves, rolling/sitting in the plant and generally tearing it up.
They’re not interested in the male plant, just the female one and one of them isn’t even a regular catnip aficionado. Motre Russian diddling with our internalmatters.
