Restaurant feeds doctors and nurses. Doing good helps.

Here’s an unexpected result of Coronavirus. Not all is bad.

Our military is helping civilian hospitals where needed.

The overall picture may not be as bad as some have painted it.

Retired military personnel are volunteering to help.

Another puppy finds a new home!

Could certainly help with the shortage. Human ingenuity at work.

The process uses specialized equipment to aerosolize hydrogen peroxide, which permeates the layers of the mask to kills germs, including viruses, without degrading the mask material.

“This is a decontamination technology and method we’ve used for years in our biocontainment laboratory,” said Scott Alderman, associate director of the Duke Regional Biocontainment Laboratory.

“We had never considered needing it for something like face masks. But we’ve now proven that it works and will begin using the technology immediately in all three Duke Health hospitals,” said Dr. Matthew Stiegel, director of the Occupational and Environmental safety Office.

The Navy is helping too!

And daily life goes on.

I wonder how many libraries are doing this. Good idea.

Strangely funny.

Had not thought about this. Maybe I should reorder early?

There are a LOT of sewers out there getting this done. The masks themselves are washable and reusable with new filter material inside.

Did you know that Wayne Allwine (the voice of Mickey Mouse) and Russi Taylor (the voice of Minnie Mouse) were actually married in real life?

More interesting, but fairly useless, information.

Butterflies can actually taste with their tiny feet, as that’s where their sensors are.

Music and singing always make me feel good. How about you?

Yeaaaa! More great stuff! I may have to post everyday how great Americans, and the capitalist system are: inventive, creative, enterprising, willing to help!

I love what that restaurant is doing. Americans stepping up.

I bought extra food for our two cats (and I’m glad I did! <—isn't there an echo of an old commercial in there somewhere???)

On first reading, I thought “So wonderful to live in America where even the plumbing is ingenious and creative.”

I’ve always loved interesting and useless information. It’s one reason I was always good at Trivial Pursuit. I’ve often said if I could just clear out the useless facts roaming my brain, I’d have so much more room for stuff that matters! Thanks for the lightheartedness every day, Stella. Smiles and chuckles are more important now than ever.

And I’d better get out and buy some dog food for back up. I did not pay much attention when the run on toilet paper started, and now that there’s none to be found I’m running low.

I have never failed to marvel at the ingenuity of the American male when faced with a crisis. One of my sons sent me a list of pick-up lines for the tuned-in male to use in cruising wherever contemporary males cruise to pick-up contemporary females when the world’s closed down.

If the coronavirus can’t take you out, can I?

Are you ba pandemic? Because if you are you have my heart on lockdown.

Baby, do you need toilet paper, because if you do I can be your Prince Charmin?

You know you can’t spell virus without us.

All the libraries are closed so I’m checking you out instead.

I’m just a boy…standing 6 feet away from a girl…and asking her to maybe move back another foot. Thanks.

    Quarantine and chill?

Hey there, do you hsve the coronavirus, because you’re HOT!

Is it hot in here or is the virus causing our fevers and shortness of breath?

    I can’t spell quarantine without U R A Q T.

It’s been a looooooong time since I was out in the dating scene but even I have a few doubts…
