What do you think can be done about high college tuition costs? I can’t help but think that someone will enter the education market with a great alternative/alternatives.

There are crazy people all over the world.
Do I believe what I see, or not trust my lying eyes? The left is using coronavirus for political purposes, imo.
Well, you know, they all look alike. Embarrassing.
Lefties don’t care who they hurt as long as they gain power.
Just a reminder. Krugman is excited about the stock market this week. For some strange reason, my 401K balance went up slightly yesterday. I should probably check and see which of my investments experienced a gain.

This is crap. They came in contact with the virus somewhere. It didn’t spontaneously occur. Note that the cases haven’t been officially confirmed by the CDC.
The latest media misquote. It’s spreading.

I read that Jeff Bezo and a few other CEOs dump a great amount of their stock the day before the market went down

Re ole whats-his-face hoping for an economic meltdown…reminder that hateful lefties continue to wish for America’s destruction so they can remake it in their image.
“In Hollywood, actress Patricia Arquette is urging Americans to join a one-day economic shutdown in order to damage the U.S. economy — and Trump:
“A REMINDER: Please contact everyone you know. On Monday, March 2nd, there is an Economic Shutdown. #Shutitdown. It’s easy,” she wrote in an Instagram post. “DO NOT SPEND ANY MONEY ON ANYTHING ANYWHERE. our goal is to cause a $238.2 billion dollar blip on the federal government’s records.”
She isn’t the only liberal openly hoping for a recession. HBO’s “Real Time” host Bill Maher said last year: “So I’ve been saying for about two years that I hope we have a recession. A recession would be very worth getting rid of Donald Trump and these kind of policies.”

A REMINDER (from a sane conservative): Please contact everyone you know. On Monday, March 2nd, BUY UP A STORM! Don’t let the evil Left win. Yes, I know…the word “evil” is said to be way over-used. But these EVIL people really do follow evil and it’s been said what you follow is what you become.

Interesting number 238.2 billion, roughly the same amount the feds collect monthly in payroll taxes…roughly.

Re: student loans –
Here’s a novel idea – have private banks lend money for college!
We bailed the banks out to make certain the banks would remain. Why not allow these banks to make student loans, and the banks could actually earn all that bailout money we paid them.
Great idea, huh? No applause, just throw money…
whadda u mean, that’s been tried before ???

I have heard some say the debt should be put on the universities. That is the only way to stop the increasing costs, etc. I don’t totally understand this, but it certainly makes more sense than the gov paying for it all. It makes my blood boil when they allow kids into the colleges that can’t possibly finish and also, other kids that get student loans use the money to play with. I have no sympathy for them and they should have to pay it back.
The rape crises video leaves me speechless. 😯
That slipnslide looks like fun. 😀

Perhaps students should be able to sue for a refund or partial refund if they graduate with good grades and aren’t able to get a job.

Or perhaps we should sue when they spend 6 years getting a degree with no practical application and we’re stuck with the bill, especially when they are able to get the loan axed in a bankruptcy filing.

A friend of mine makes a lot of money publishing his own books on “quirky” College Majors. And now I’ll zip my lips on the only good use of quirky college majors.

One can hope. But nope it would seem that they are enthusiastically bought by young skulls full of mush hoping to study all sorts of nonsense.

Maybe that’s a big part of their education – if they choose to learn.

French, or any other language without teaching certification. Political Science. Anthropology. Anything in the College of Fine Arts. Drama/Theater. Dance. General Studies. I was a Drama/Theater major through my Junior year, but with a minor in Education so at least I could teach if I could not make a living on stage. And I did have to pay my loans back.

We could start with the return of the four year program which today has become 5-6 years. There was a study done in Wisconsin ordered by the Gov which revealed prof’s teach roughly 8 hours a week, the rest spent researching, maybe they should already know what they teach and spend more time in the class ……teaching!

I would prefer that some of them be put up against a wall and shot, or it should have been many years ago. They certainly don’t belong in a classroom. I would like it if they could prove they are teaching facts and truth, not politics.
