People should be able to think through what Bernie is saying about Cuba. But, I do realize that since they teach it in school, they believe that the problems the Cubans have was caused by the U.S. I couldn’t believe that a friend of mine who was very intelligent said that they wouldn’t have had so many problems if we hadn’t cut them off from commerce.
When I read that about Bernie discussing with the woman about eating the afterbirth, I wondered if she was also going to eat the baby’s poop. Animals do that, too.

That Johnson lady was a talented lady, and achieved great things. She helped NASA.
Ok, fine.
But before NASA was just a glimmer in someone’s mind, there were the number-crunching ladies of the Manhattan Project, without whom who knows where we would be today?
These same ladies went on to help create Turing’s Cathedral, programming and operating the world’s first programmable puters – physically rewiring those little (yuge) suckers until punch cards were invented – without whom the Johnson lady and NASA cohorts could never ever ever have dreamed of putting someone on the moon.
Bless Ms Johnson, and thanks to her for all her hard work. Ms Johnson stands on the shoulders of lady geniuses.

As for the coronavirus, the media’s driving that train. It’s a chance to give legs to something and capture market share. So far 16,00 dead and 280,000ish hospitalized in this flu season and the best the media can do is a few lame stories about folks who won’t take the shot and how the coronavirus is going to get us all.
