I always wanted to be left handed. It just seemed so much cooler. In 4th grade my best friend broke her right arm and was in a long-arm cast for 6 weeks, during which she learned to write pretty well with her left hand. I asked my mom if I could get a cast so I could make myself write left handed. Sigh. She said no.

My eyes are yellow-green around the iris and dark blue next to the white, as were my mother’s. My brother and sister both had our father’s startling blue eyes.

Well at least you had your mother’s eyes. Mine are unique in my family. Mom’s were green, and everyone else are shades of bold blue.

Mine are blue with a yellow ring in the center. They look a blueish green to me. My whole family had brown eyes, except me.

Sunny, coolish, delightful parade weather! Huge parade days today, Sunday, Monday, and of course Mardi Gras day. Heard on NPR this afternoon that Shreveport-Bossier has a whole Carnival thing going, including parades and appropriate foodstuffs. Do you attend, does it happen in your neighborhood, or do you avoid it like we do now.

I do NOT attend, never been interested but it DOES come down our main blvd. disrupting traffic, etc. The child attends a whole lot of it as a lot of it is in the historic neighborhood where they live but me, meh. To me it’s not “real,” as it’s not NOLA but don’t get me arguing with my brother over Mobile’s carnival……they think they invented it…..

Anyone else out there watch the Ken Burns Country Music documentary? Saw it when it first came out, and for the last eight Friday’s the HOU PBS station ran an episode. While it appears to me to be more of a curated story, I really enjoyed it.

Watched it the first time by, loved it! Reminded me so much of my parents’ stories and music tastes (they were from Texas-Oklahoma). Czar liked it for the Nashville parts, b/c he spent good times in the Appalachian areas.

Just saw a headline at the Daily Mail…Clint Eastwood is backing Bloomberg. Says President Trump criticizes others in a personal way too much. I guess Libertarian Clint doesn’t know anything about Bloomy.

I really hate to hear that. However, I have friends and relatives who are Libertarians and I don’t agree with a lot of stuff they believe in. Also, they are too danged ideological for me. For so many of them a candidate has to be perfect, exactly align every time with their views, or bam! they are off to support someone else.
Having never had the experience of finding the perfect person, I am happy with President Trump. Very happy.
I just cannot believe Clint can support such an idiot with such dangerous views.

Agreed! I don’t remember if Clint indicated a preference in 2016. It wouldn’t have been Hillary anyway.
He could just as easily not given support to anyone this time around either. But Bloomberg!…good grief, the guy who hates guns but has bodyguards and banned large-size soft drinks! It’s just too ridiculous! Come onnnnn, Clint!

Morning. About this Clint Eastwood interview. Being reported is, “The best thing we could do is just get Mike Bloomberg in there.” “there” is not stated as what it references and since Clint a libertarian and 2nd Amendment sort of guy, “there” could very well mean the race to bring some niceness to the campaigning.

No official information has been released yet on the reported shooting death of DHS whistleblower Philip Haney in California. However, friends and others with reported familiarity with the case are posting comments. As this is an ongoing investigation with few known facts publicized, suicide or murder can not be definitively ruled in or out as of this time. However, the circumstances do not favor suicide.
