Mornin’ everyone. Gray day here so far, but it still 75* outside.

A guy is coming from Spectrum, my cable and internet company, to replace my router. I had bought my own router 10 years ago when I moved in. Now I keep getting warnings that the router is not safe. Might be part of my problems lately. I keep getting thrown off the internet and have trouble getting back on. Somebody told me that might be somebody trying to use my wifi. At any rate, I feel I have to do something.

From Facebook, by a friend I respect. You might find this interesting and useful in political arguments. I don’t expect you to agree with every word.

I have two FB friends for whom I have great respect, one of whom is a well-known historian. They are both never Trumpers.

Some of Trump’s crudity and oafishness doesn’t bother me much; some of it does. But this November either the Democrat will win or Trump will be re-elected.

As it happened, a couple of month ago I had a high school social studies substitute assignment dealing with elections and such and I mentioned that I often hear, “I vote for the candidate and not the party.” But, I pointed out, especially for executive positions this really isn’t the case. You vote for a candidate for president, you are also voting for how he (or she) will choose judges and SC justices, cabinet officers, ambassadors, heads of various administrative departments, and so forth–you don’t just bring in the candidate but an entire apparatus…I’m tempted to say “nomenklatura,” especially when it’s Democrats.

Even if the nominee isn’t Sanders, even the most moderate (for a given value of “moderate”) candidate will bring in appointments and policies that will be noxious and destructive. And, as we see, the thrust of such an administration will not be toward guaranteeing due process of law and free speech. Can anyone imagine Hillary promoting free speech on campus as Trump has done?

You have the choice there is, not the one you want. The last time I left a presidential election voting booth feeling unreservedly good about my choice, no qualms, I love the guy and I really want him to win, it was a primary and the year was 1976. My choice in November will be easy.

Well, I now have a new router. So far my computer is working well. We will see how it does as the afternoon goes by. Wouldn’t that be amazing if the problem was just an old router? When I first moved in 10 years ago, I bought my own router. I can’t remember why………..I certainly didn’t do it on my own since I didn’t even know what it was. But, this one is from the cable company and if I start having trouble with it, I will just call them and have them fix it. 🙂

Yes we had a large turn out in conservative areas.

This was a test. Milwaukee had a large turnout and we still trounced the Liberals.

      Good.

President Trump has a ground game here, one of his team was at an event that I attended as was Kelly.

      Kelly will rule Constitutionally.

Funny story, finding the percentages was difficult last night, that is when I knew Kelly trounced them.

Main concern with Kelly is that he is a big Walker guy. Walker is not a Trump supporter, in fact I have as much respect for Walker as I do for Paul Ryan. Just something to watch. Sad.
