   Good. I am still not convinced Blago was guilty.

     I believe he was guilty, but he has served enough time.

       I agree. I thought he was a devious, corrupt, bloviating snake and was pleased to see him convicted. 🙂
       But as you say, 8 years is enough (more than enough) time for his crimes, and it’s not as if many people in Chicago politics are not still corrupt and not held accountable

It is that when it comes to the fate of those who are, or could be, adjudged guilty of offenses against the United States, the final dispensation belongs to the President. He doesn’t even have to explain himself.

   Read an article on FB connecting some dots that this whole thing was done to get Blago to keep his piehole shut about the goings on of Barry and his posse, who were apparently pushing hard for ValJarr to slide into the Senate seat. Sure seems convenient that the US Attorney who sent Blago up the river was leading this charge, along with Scooter, and other pols/pals they wanted shut up.
