Good points from Clarice, as usual…
DC LAW By Clarice Feldman – February 16, 2020
So many of this week’s top news stories involve legal matters in Washington, D.C. that I’m making it the focus of this week’s column.
There’s the Roger Stone case, the decision to close the investigation into Andrew McCabe over the Horowitz referral that indicated that he had lied to the FBI about the Clinton email leak, and Congressman Jerry Nadler’s calling Attorney General William Barr as a witness in an upcoming hearing.

Good morning all. Is the famous Beetlejuice, actually spelled Betelgeuse, about to go supernova? If so we might get a show visible even in the daytime. I read a couple of articles and to me it looks like your guess is as good as the scientists. Should that have been scientisits’? I think it should, anyhow, a link.

Remember, it is 642.5 light years away from us, so it could have already happened, the light just hasn’t arrived here yet. One of those things that keeps my mind going in circles when I think about it.

Found this recipe in an article about the favorite four chocolate cake recipes (had to be layer cake) bouncing around the internet, with a clear explanation of why each one was good, or not so good. Incidentally, think the Martha Stewart recipe came in last.
This one looks good, although I much prefer an excellent yellow cake with good chocolate icing. Her icing does sound scrumptious.

Love a chocolate cake with buttercream chocolate icing, with pecans in the icing! This recipe has buttermilk, which makes a moist crumb in the cake. But the icing has a raw egg, which means you need to have salmonella safe eggs.

And the irony is that justb 20 short years ago Buttgag won the Kennedy ‘Profiles in Courage’ essay award with a screed on the integrity and political courage of Bernie Sanders! The sheer irony of it, Democrats, political cannibals in comfortable shoes.

Good afternoon everyone. Had to go do my taxes this morning. I go to an AARP tax prep. They don’t charge and it is retired tax preparers that do the taxes. Several worked at H&R Block for 20 or 30 years. I have been going since I came down here in 2010 and most of the people that work on your taxes are the same ones who have been there all these years. I was there longer than usual because so many people came today.

Good afternoon, aus! All my life until 2009 I did my own taxes easy peasy. In 2009 I made a $300 mistake in my favor…a nice surprise. The following year I made a not-so-happy $800 mistake in the government’s favor and decided to get a taxman after that…LOL!

I did them the first two years I was married, when I was 20 and 21 and we had nothing. I always ended up in tears. After that I had them done.

I use TurboTax now. Already got my Federal refund (less than $100), and waiting for my state refund (more than $1,000). To me it’s worth the money.

It doesn’t actually cost the taxpayer anything, cause the cost comes off the next year’s return as a deduction. I did them every year until I retired, then they got complicated, so I go to H&R Block. Czar just signs.

The past two years I took the standard deduction, as that was the best deal for me.

Great video. Starts out with facts about Bernie Sanders – how he “borrowed” electricity from his elderly neighbor when he was out of money and the power was shut off, that he thought that most jobs were beneath him, that he hired his wife and channeled campaign funds to her. Lots more.

Interesting…do you get the feeling Dersh has decided to let the chips fall where they may…not that he’s turning away from liberalism, but that he’s just tired as heck seeing his compatriots trashing the Constitution and he’s not going to let them get away with it…
