Mini Mike actually was NOT on the ballot… but he got 1 write-in as Republican pick, and 2 write-ins on DIM side. FWIW it is an indication that Mini-Mike is preferred over the dopes on the ballot… and note nobody picked QuidProJoe

Portable Lab You Plug into Your Phone Can Diagnose Illnesses Like Coronavirus
By Good News Network – Feb 10, 2020

So far it’s been impractical to combine the two in a single device; tech companies don’t want the regulatory headaches that would come from labeling phones medical devices. But University of Cincinnati engineers have come up with the next best thing.

Yeah, it’s the evolution of a system that’s been advancing over the years. For some time now there’s been a videoconference system you can roll right up to the patient in the hospital for remote access to a specialist or even into a ‘primary care physician’s’ office for a regular visit. The patient’s connected with a remote physician and it’s almost like s/he’s there. There’s also been a lot of work on surgical specialists doing remote surgery through robot systems, a physician in New York could operate on a patient in California just as if the physician were there.

We have some hospitals here who can’t afford/locate a 24/7 specialist like a radiologist. If you get an x-ray and need it interpreted outside of the radiologist’s regular hours the hospital sends it over the internet to a service in Australia that reads it and gives you the results immediately. IT’s been the biggest boon to medicine in decades.

I’m just wondering if I looked out the door of that University of Cincinnati lab if there might not be a bubble of lawyer vultures from the school’s law school just waiting for the chip to have a problem? I can see a potential for a misdiagnosis with the chip, any system (even docs) make tortious boo boos, and though medical lawyers have become a necessity I fear they might stifle the chip’s development and use.

BLOOMBERG BOMBSHELL: Secret audio reveals presidential candidate’s racial hypocrisy
Ian Miles Cheong, 14 mins ago

This is Mike Bloomberg’s voice. Damning footage of billionaire Democratic presidential candidate Mike Bloomberg surfaced tonight, detailing the former New York mayor’s support for the state’s controversial “stop and frisk” law enforcement policy.

Speaking before a crowd of 400 people at the Aspen Institute on February 5, 2015, Bloomberg said that to prevent violent crimes, police should seize guns from minorities. Bloomberg specifically noted that 95 percent of murders—both murderers and murder victims—in New York and “virtually every city” were committed by individuals fitting the same profile. “Male, minorities, 16 to 25,” he said.

Bloomberg talks about social engineering by penalizing “the poor” using taxes to dicourage them from drinking sugary drinks etc….

Then there is the “racist” clip….
The audio clip is at YT. I don’t necessarily disagree with old Bloomberg… but this should not play well for the woke left?

Afternoon everyone. Had to leave early to go have breakfast with my friend. Then, we went to a movie. We saw Dr. Doolittle. When it started, I thought it would be stupid. But, it was so much fun. There was no sex, very little violence, etc., so I don’t think it got an Oscar. But, it was a total fantasy movie that was obviously just for fun.

In dog mushing news, Brent Sass won the Yukon Quest 1,000 Mile Dog Sled Race, arriving in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory, about a half hour ago. Michelle Phillips is 45 minutes behind him, so should arrive in the next 15-20 minutes. Our friend Allen Moore will probably finish in 4th place. He is currently 94 miles from the finish line, which will likely take him 12-15 hours or more. Of the 15 teams that started the race, 4 have scratched and another may be about to as the team in last position is 50 miles behind the team ahead of it, which is not a good sign. The Quest website is not well designed for following the race; but the best I can tell, a big storm blew up and nailed all the teams down for half a day or so. That can be a total game-changer, and is exactly how Libby Riddles came to be the first woman to win Iditarod back in 1985. Sometime yesterday, a storm stopped the Quest and all the mushers could do was wait it out. When they took off again this morning (I think), Michelle was in the lead for a while. I was hopeful she could hold on to it; I’d love for another woman to win the Quest. Our friend Aliy Zirkle remains the one and only woman to ever win this race, in 2000. Her husband Allen has won it (I think) 4 times. Allen is only 6 months out from shoulder surgery, and dog mushing is very hard, physical work. I hope he’s holding up okay. He and the guy who has been just ahead of him in 3rd position, Cody Strathe, are both resting at the same spot; if Allen’s team has more “gas in the tank” (more rest, faster pace for the endgame), Allen could move up one position and finish in 3rd place. Go Allen! Go dogs!
