      This is such good news to get first thing in the morning. I went to be smiling last night after hearing they were walked out and now to read that they were “visibly shaken” makes me want to do a jig. Won’t happen, but I feel like it. 😀 😀 The arrogant SOBs. {spit}

It’s time to ignore EVERYONE who hates Trump.
They’re part of a dead era.
    They themselves are dead.
The rest of us are alive.
Pat yourself on the back for being smarter than virtually everyone you see on TV or hear on the radio.
If they hate Trump, they are stupid, rigid, destructive losers.
    Laugh at them.

Mornin’ everyone. Beautiful, but cold day here. In the low 40’s, but the temp has gone up 3 degrees since I woke up. Wishing a nice day for everyone here.

Morning aus. We woke up to heavy snow coming down. Have about 2.5 inches now, but soon it will warm up and turn to rain. We were going to drive down to Ft. Payne, but their weather is worse than ours, so we are just sitting here watching the snow cover the field and the mountain in front of us. Beautiful world.

We spent all day yesterday cleaning up our flood mess and running the fans 24/7. I think it’s starting to dry out. I woke to sunshine this morning and was relieved. I sent DH to the grocery store, as I tidied up a few loose ends, then sat down to the computer for a spell. I went to get a glass of water, and saw out the window, It’s snowing! 3 hours later, it’s still snowing! I thought it was supposed to warm up.

It won’t last too long, I hope, and DH is off work tomorrow, so we will bundle up and try to keep warm with all the fans running. Thank you all for the prayers for us. I was a panicked mess!

Good day to you, aus! It’s 38 and cloudy in my section of the Idaho Panhandle. When I checked the weather before going to bed at 1:00 a.m., it was supposed to be snowing today but nada. At the moment it will be sunny/cloudy until Thursday when it will snow.

Nothing, however, is predictable in the Great Northwest. I’m totally game for a mild winter.

Two more changes last week, so readjusting. Added a water pill, and changed the statin to Crestor at a lower dose. Cough is back, and occasional shortness of breath. It’s always something. I have a stress test scheduled this coming week. Wish me well!

          Absolutely! Well wishes and prayers.

You might have the docs check your lungs, too. The last time I had a stress test, the doctor had me get an x-ray, too, just to make sure the shortness of breath was not pulmonary-related.

Thanks. I’ve already seen a pulmonologist, and I had no shortness of breath when I visited the cardiologist on Jan. 29.

I suspect the new symptoms are caused by the water pill.

My lipid levels were not particularly bad. I hate the statin drugs but my doctor says that because I have had a heart attack, I must lower my cholesterol (LDL) to 70 or below, and that is the best way to do it. There are also two new injectable drugs you can use instead, but you have to have injections every two weeks, and they may not be covered by insurance. Then there is the cost of a doctor visit every two weeks.

Yes, the specialist fees can mount up. My regular MD is only $10, but the specialist is $50. Some lab fees aren’t fully covered either.

Earlier today I was looking up medical licensing and authorizations in Idaho to determine if unlicensed medical assistants can give injections. Such info might be helpful for you. Here it is for Michigan: http://www.aama-ntl.org/docs/default-source/legal/delegable-duties-michigan.pdf?sfvrsn=4 . You might check with your insurance whether they will pay if a medical assistant gives the shots. If so, perhaps you could arrange with your doctor to have the MA perform the duty and not bother the specialist and thus not have to pay the full fee.

We just went over to the window to have a closer look. Big wet fat flakes are hitting the pond, which apparently the fish think are flies or something because they are jumping and striking. We’ve never seen them do that before.

Trump’s New War On Wasteful Spending — An Advance Draft Of The President’s Budget To Congress (FY2021)
Our organization at OpenTheBooks.com has advocated these goals from the pages of The Wall Street Journal and USA Today. With the national debt standing at $23.2 trillion and annual budget deficits of over $1 trillion, we applaud the president for starting a war on waste.

Here are just three of the non-partisan reforms the president will highlight in his FY2021 budget to Congress:

I have to admit that I am perplexed by the reaction to Coronavirus. (I think I picked a bad time to get back on Twitter.) There seems to be a great deal of anxiety about news coming out of China regarding how people suspected to be infected are treated, the extreme quarantine, etc. There seems to be no good way to explain to people that they are flipping out over the behavior of a Communist dictatorship. Yes, Communists will eventually even turn on their own. And no one seems to think China might lie about everything (as Raconteur frequently and correctly points out.)

The other thing that I saw today was discussion about how economies worldwide will suffer if China continues to keep workers at home. Hmm. Maybe we should have thought of that before everything was outsourced to be made in China?

U.S. Special Operations forces have suffered casualties following an ambush in the Nangarhar province of Afghanistan today.

There are more details, but scant around the interwebs… but the info is not consistent and so not confirmed.

One worrying claim is it was a “Green on Blue” incident… Afghan forces fired on US Special forces… accidentally? or Intentionally??

Intentionally, like they always do. 😠 Oh, the Afghan government will apologize, it was an accident, blah blah blah.

Besides removing troops from Iraq, wasn’t bringing our troops out of the Afghanistan hellhole one of Obama’s campaign promises in 2008?

But hey, I heard he was supposed to stop the oceans from rising too, so there ya go.

It makes me wonder why Prez Trump doesn’t pull our troops out, though.

It’s basically for humanitarian reasons. The Taliban are totally uncivilized. If we think the Iraqis are uncivilized, they are angels in comparison. Remember the Afghan soccer stadiums full of the dead who were slaughtered for no real offense at all?

President Trump has to try to make sure there is as little bloodshed as possible. It will happen anyway, of course. But he is a compassionate man and it must be a burdensome decision.
