Sounds nice! We also have snow in the forecast but I haven’t been so motivated as to check the weather for myself, a friend told me that the weather guessers are saying anywhere from 4 -12 inches.

I just received this “TRAFFIC ALERT: All northbound lanes of I-39/90 north of Janesville closed” . Cancelled my plans for tonight.

He got out, thank goodness. Was in Atlanta shortly after I made the comment, so I’m sure he’s home by now. He said it was bitter cold while he was there, and he knew if he didn’t get out today he’d be stuck until Sunday or Monday at least. I’m glad he’s home.

If you plan on coming down here to the beach, you probably better get here early this next week. My friend is going to Daytona next Friday and the temp always drops when she does that.
She says it is supposed to be down in the 30’s.

30s at the beach! I’ve never in my life been to a beach with that low of a temperature…LOL! Cali really is different from Florida.

Big difference is the water in FL is warmer than CA. I was so surprised when I stepped into that COLD! water in CA.

Yes, the water is very cold at the beaches in CA. I always preferred the Gulf when we went to the beach here in FL. It was sometimes almost 85*. LOL

LOL I checked myself and there is one, count it, one day next week that the temp drops below 40* at the beach and of course, that is at night. But it is in the high sixtys during the day. My friend will complain if it isn’t at least 80*.

So beautiful! Thanks, Lucille. Looks like the view all around me. We finally got back up above zero this morning (+5*) after being at -15 last night. Amazing how warm zero can feel when you’ve been way below that.

Hi, Tundra. The top photo looks like the Idaho hills right now where it’s 26 degrees and supposed to be snowing but so far today not more than a couple of snowflakes. The day before yesterday at the family ranch in Alberta it was -43C (-45.4F)!!! The prairies can get mighty cold…

I’m not a big Moon Pie fan but my Sergeant Major (RIP, Mac) was hooked. In ’85 he went on the advance party to Egypt, two weeks before we did. I had some spare room in the crypto box so I snuck in a couple of Moon Pies. By the time the case hit the crypto room in the tent it had been thru some stuff. As soon as the room was set up I called Mac in and gave him his surprise Moon Pies. They were melted into the bag and mashed around but he ate them as if they were fresh from the plant.
At his retirement party his family threw I put a box of Moon Pies with a bow on it on the table they’d set up for gifts. No one understood the gift but it was the first one he opened and he ate one while he was opening others.

I always like RC cola better than Coke anyhow, and being a Chattanooga gal, I also had a liking for Double Cola. Unfortunately, I do not like the Moon Pie. They let me live here anyhow, as my husband likes ’em enough for the both of us.
Yuck on marshmallow. I taught my husband to make hot chocolate, and he’s great at it, if you don’t mind every dish and measuring cup, as well as three or four pans and fourteen assorted spoons being dirty, but you gotta grab your mug or he will have it half full of marshmallows.
Me, I just wing it every time. He measures every last tick, including the spoonful of vanilla for goodness sake. Who doesn’t just tip in a tad or two? 🙄

Yes they do. It’s almost as hard to find as Tab, but it’s out there. Much easier to find in small TX towns, though.

Yes in deed they do. Speaking of Chattanooga, we used to drink RCs (frequently at air temp) while we were delivering cases of pint bottles of 10 High to the dry areas in Dekalb County, AL and Dade and Walker Counties in Georgia.

Re Dershowitz, I’ve been wondering if this was going to happen. He loves the practice of law and the law itself.
As far as I’m concerned, they shoulda forgot about Starr. The terroristic interrogations of “Miss Lewinsky” and her mother should have landed him and his crew in jail.
