Czar, Merry Christmas, is the mess prepared for Christmas Dinner? Or did the cooks eat all of the Shrimp again.
You FedX comment is spot on, here in PA. The driver who has this territory, Army Vet, 05 shot through knee cap, upper thigh. Wears a brace to support knee. Good young man, FedX up is a franchise, drivers buy their trucks off of FedX, bid on routs, some expensive are paid, most are not.
When this driver is done in “rural areas “ he heads back, reloads and goes into Pittsburgh area….that’s is where the population/money is.

Anyway, for alla youse da long voishunn:
T’was the night before Christmas
and all thru the tent
was the odor of diesel
since the stovepipe was bent.
The stockings were hung
rather close to the fire
in hopes that by morning
they’d be somewhat drier.
The squad was asleep
bundled up in their sacks
and dreaming of goodies
like cookies and snacks,
Like crispy fried chicken
straight out of the South
and a midwestern steak
that would melt in your mouth.
When out on the hill
there arose such a clatter..
a Commie machine gun
had started to chatter,
The Sgt. Grabowski
appeared at the door
“People”, he yelled,
“get your feet on the floor,
Grab rifles and flares
and bring me a BAR,
you’re climbing that hill
but you ain’t goin’ far,
Let everyman here
take along a grenade,
and when you get back
don’t expect a parade,
I’ve had it to here
with this damn nightly riot,
So we’re gonna make sure
that tomorrow it’s quiet”.
Then off we went hunting,
Us seven through snow
On a night where the wind
made it twenty below.
Now, Allen and Russell
and Clyde McElroy
had the privilege of being
our only decoy.
They got some attention
with the Hell they did raise
I suppose I’ll remember
for the rest of my days,
While Sutton and Smitty
and Connor and me
provided surprises
that was ugly to see.
It was over in minutes
and when it was done
there were four bloody bodies
and a busted up gun.
Grabowski was waiting
as ‘ere we came in,
and that tough weathered face
had managed a grin,
“People,” he said,
“I think you done good
by striking a blow
for our brotherhood,
So, let everyman here
get back in his sack,
go back to his dreams,
and forget the attack.
It’s now Christmas morning,
so be of good cheer.
Merry Xmas to all,
May you live till next year!”

Lucille, reminds me of my Aunt, she always had a bench on the farm porch for seasonal displays. When I was younger, the Halloween display was the scariest of all. Had the Tin Man, Lion, Straw man on the bench. I swear those three would rotate their sitting positions every night. I never said a word……

Good morning, Nyet! I’ll be eating hearty before my trip to Tokyo to see the STAR WARS Christmas 2019 display in Tokyo’s Marunouchi district…
…the STAR WARS Christmas tree located on the Marunouchi Building’s 1st floor is called the “Rise Crystal.” According to the press release, it features a light show depicting “the struggle between the ‘light side’ and the ‘dark side’.”
I saw the original STAR WARS in 1977 at a film industry showing. Industry crowds are usually rather blase and attend screenings often times to criticize everything from the sets to the costumes to the directing and the dialogue. This time it was different. From that first shot of the underside of the space ship, viewers were enthralled and everyone raved about it for days afterward…you really can’t get the feel of it on a small screen, but here it is anyway…
…great fun and a great memory…

I saw it the first time from a convertable sitting at an outdoor drive-in movie. You cannot imagine the amazement at that very scene (and all the in-space shots) coming out of the sky on that huge screen! PS, I watched the movie just yesterday on our 55″ flatscreen in the living room, and I still LOVE IT!!!

One of the fun things also at an industry film screening is that the audience never gets up and leaves during the closing credits. They want to see the names of who did what for the production. And you especially don’t leave if you’re with someone who will have his name up there in big letters for all to see. If you go out for drinks afterwards at a well known watering hole, you get to bask in the congratulations coming his way, too. LOL! It’s all such a enticing game.

Good day, WeeWeed! They timed all this for the holidays because they are inspired by the Evil One who wishes to remove our joy and replace it with hatred, making it a win-win for him.
I have to assume the President will take it to the Supreme Court re Pelosi and gang wanting all his personal tax records, his private attorney’s records, plus the other things that would not be allowed for anyone else’s impeachment. Nance’s lawfare group contains the Archenemy’s greatest advocates.
Repentance is nowhere in their minds as it was in Scrooge’s case. He came to acknowledge his sins and vowed to turn his life around to go in the true direction of faith and love.

Oh, what a sweetie! Pretty cold and dark this time of year in Ester, Alaska. Not above-the-Arctic-Circle dark, it’s just west of Fairbanks, but only about 3 hours a day of sunlight. And 40-60 below zero (though not today, it’s only about 10 below at the moment). Hope this sweet pup has a sweater to wear for outside trips!
