Good morning, lovely! It’s snowing lightly right now. Overnight was medium. As I was shoveling my walk, it started up again. It’s dumb from a continuing snowy day and from a physical standpoint to get out there, but it’s sort of an obsession.

Yes, lovely, the inhabitants of Idaho, Montana, the Dakotas, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan…all the snowy climes…bless the person who invented the snow blower.
I’m the only one who gets out there to remove the overnight snow. Those who did not, later have a semi-frozen mess to walk through while my walk is completely clear after it rained slightly.

I heard this morning the Dems, in their culmination of a temper tantrum that’s gone on for three effing years because the she-demon from hell that they had decided would be the next president in the merit of having the surname Clinton and having a vagina, lost, and Dems impeached Donald Trump.
I don’t think I have ever been this mad about something related to politics before. Even when Obamacare passed and destroyed the US health system I wasn’t this angry.
And to say I am mad at the Republicans for allowing this farce to start in the first place. Instead of saying “we won you lost get over it” they were afraid of bring called nasty names by the press so instead of stopping the Democrats early they endured it and now we see the results.
I put an R behind my name to get President Trump into office. Now I have to get that R back off. What a $#&+ing disgrace.

Woo Hoo! Where can I get one of them? I think I mentioned before that I dressed our GGS in jeans (he was about 3), western boots and a wife-beater t-shirt, full COPS regalia, and sat him up at the illegal bar in a local higher-class rural restaurant – they had the best fried food you’d ever laid lips to. I sent out the picture and there was quite an interesting response to it.

My dad was regular as clock work with two things..he was always up at 4:00 a.m. and he always went to the bar at 5:00 p.m. – I worked outside the home and my folks were my daycare providers……My son started going to the bar every night after he turned two.
I’d have bought one of these in a heartbeat…:0)

The visits to the bar were only bi-annual when I was a kid, but I do remember hitchin’ my red cowboy boots up on the brass rail a couple of time…:0)

The French Canadian and Polish Clubs in town were bars with a dining area and the focal points in the town’s culture.
In Florida we had the old Jimmy Buffet kind of beach bars. They were old, wooden, dark with ceiling fans and no AC. They also had a dining area with beach food but were primarily bars.
In Germany the various military service clubs (enlisted, NCO and officer) were the central points of social life there and while we as teenagers were not allowed to drink in the service clubs there is no minimum drinking age in Germany proper and we spent a lotta time in the gasthauses and eateries that sold booze.
In all fairness the military members in the 50s and 60s were heavily laden with WWII members, I had one in my unit who stayed in until his 60th birthday in 1986 when he maxed out. With what they’d gone thru they started drinking in WWII and drank right thru until they died.

Hey Col, I see where a Fed Ex driver in NE Philly was attacked by a thug trying to rob him and the truck but pulled his own weapon and killed the robber. Nice to see someone’s not standing still to be a victim.
The driver was licensed to carry and Fed Ex has no response yet other than they refuse to discuss their security systems. Makes me wary of arguing with them when they double-park and block traffic on deliveries.

Sitting in my house wondering what kind of moron has their car stereo blaring outside.
Then I realize I went out there to start my car and warm it up before I go meet my friends for dinner.
My music goes through bluetooth so it doesn’t start immediately when I start the ignition.
Short answer: I’m the moron.
