Stella's Place 
All of my first 7 years with the AF and I never saw one performance of them, not any of the groups, at all. To busy playing the brass circuit.
L guess karma decided to make up for it and when I was at Ft Meade years ago I was billeted right next to the Army band. Never got to see them play either but it was nice to hear them practicing and the impromptu jams were great.

A high school friend of mine was in the AF band during the Vietnam years.

If he were at Phu Cat in 1967 I missed him, but to be honest we had a lot more to worry about then than entertainment. Had I known then what I do now about what was going on I’d have taken that Japan tour instead.

The National WW2 Museum in NO has music events weekly, and a couple of dances each year with big bands, singers (in-house group “The Victory Belles”), and tribute singers for the period. They are having a big party on NYE.
