    One local ‘plantation’ wedding venue owner was complaining that his ‘plantation’ building is new, just some years old. It never was a plantation in the Gone With the Wind sense, it was built from scratch in modern times to look like an antebellum plantation just to be rented out for celebratory events. Too bad, the language police said the name included the word ‘plantation’ and as such it romanticizes plantations and slavery.

    Do these people stay up at night thinking of new forms of idiocy?

      Indeed! At any given moment, starting on election night, Her Lowness could have given the sign that she would tolerate no backlash, no hatred or animosity toward the President-Elect, and that it was a time to work together for the common good. But, no, after her phony concession speech, she had to stoke it, poke it, woke it until we’ve come to these uncivil proceedings and the trashing of Constitutional rights.

      Turley, who seems a pleasant enough man, is now a fascist to the Leftie/Marxist types. Friends will shun, family will be marginalized, colleagues will find others to lunch with, and the WDC/NYC party circuit will issue few, if any, invites. All for telling the truth.

    I think I mentioned that I dry-brined my Thanksgiving turkey this year, and roasted it in parts, unstuffed. My report on the process is that it was the best turkey I have ever served, both the white and dark meat perfectly cooked and juicy. My make-ahead turkey gravy was delicious, as was the dressing (which was vegetarian, so I didn’t have to make two different versions). This is the first year that everything I made turned out perfect! The veggies were corn casserole, lime-glazed roasted brussels sprouts and mixed roasted root vegetables (Beets, parsnips, butternut squash, garlic and red onion.)
