Wished my NOPD/Marine friend ( who was in the 2003 Iraq invasion, returned to be a major figure in holding NOPD together during Katrina and then spent almost the next 10 years fighting the city and Feds in criminal court over Katrina) a happy birthday. He never forgot the ‘semper fi’, too bad the political s*** whose asses he helped save during Katrina did. Then again they were Democrat pols who hid during the storm and robbed the city blind after it so what can we expect?

Would have been an even better one had Alabama decided to show up before the 3rd quarter.
Kicking Saban’s ass in his own house, breaking his winning streak and otherwise not wiping its shoes on the mat before entering was worth it even if LSU doesn’t win the championship in the Dome.

After LSU taught Saban how to build a winning team he packed his bags and done snuck out the back door one night, not paying the rent or utilities. Alabama bought him and finally started getting somewhere , even beating a bruised LSU. This was payback.

Just checked the weather. Tomorrow we will have a high of 31 degrees, and about 4″ of snow, starting at about 1:00 am. I have a doctor appointment tomorrow afternoon. That sucks.

I try not to drive in the best of situations and winter roads are far from a best situation.. If the snow doesn’t quit in a couple more hours I’ll be rescheduling my appt as well. It’s just not worth the stress….:0)

Here’s a link to a recipe that I use as a guide. I don’t add spinach (which would be good). I also sometimes add different spices (like cardamom and coriander) in addition to the cinnamon and cumin.
