    Sorta miss the change of colors, here the weed trees go to yellow and the rest just shoot to brown at different times and then drop. Feels like the government planned the Fall change here.

      I miss the tannic smell of the northern trees’ leaves from cool composting, they compost too fast here to have much of a smell. I reveled in the Fall experience when I spent the Fall/Winter of 90/91 at Ft Meade, there was a NE hardwood forest just behind my barracks and it was a joy.

        It was down in the low 40s this morning. The house was 63.
        Wicked Son texted me last night at 22:45. It was 78. He had just come in from the pool.

      Earlier I watched Andy McCarthy giving out with a half-hearted and basically non-defense of President Trump’s request to the Ukraine and China for assistance in uncovering corruption by Joe Biden. At the end, he agreed with other panelists that our President may say he’s seeking out corruption but is really just trying to get rid of a political rival. Andy is a case in point for not really trusting NeverTrumpers even if they seem to have left the swamp.

        I do not believe one ever leaves the Swamp. It is a lifetime membership.

        The Swamp and the Left hide behind this seeking to destroy a political rival crap. Biden et al only wish they were a political rival. A political rival has to have the possibility of winning the election. Biden and the Left only wish it were true (political rival claim).

        We, the American People, have the right to not to have a choice of criminals to vote for. The same was said about Hillary after the case against her was dropped so as not to interfere in an election. A private and therefore Illegal Server and missing 30,000 plus e-mails. Some classified and all required to be preserved forever.

        I am not talking about a perfect candidate, but, we are faced with candidates that are a walking crime family. Let the parties clean up their acts or let them face the consequences, which could be not having a candidate to run in an election and a 3d party candidate wins.

        More on the political rival lie.
        President Nixon won the 1972 election by winning 49 of the 50 States. Nixon did not need information on his Democrat rivals.
        Watergate was about plugging the classified information “hemorrhaging” from the Pentagon. Hemorrhaging is a term used when this was happening. The only thing known was that someone in the DNC knew who the person was and the flow of classified info had to be halted.

        Could Nixon have handled it better, Yes? Was Nixon guilty of something? Probably. But at least the Left could admit the truth about what was happening.

      There is enough to investigate thoroughly because we need to know the truth. Narrow the focus on the investigation to reach a conclusion. If it causes Biden, senior, to drop out of the campaign, so be it. It is early enough for someone else to take over his spot on the campaign trail. Maybe the Swamp gets drained from the top.

    I was outside getting some things done and in the shine from my headlamp I could see the glowing eyes of the field mice and rats as the went about looking for dinner. As I panned back towards my job I caught a set of beady eyes higher off of the ground…a coon or skunk hunting for a mouse or rat dinner. I switched away, not wanting to help or hinder either.

    On the way back in my headlamp caught another set of green-yellow eyes, my resident possum was back up in the tree dining on overripe persimmons. Gonna be a bumper crop of Japanese persimmon seedlings, come spring, everywhere a possum stops.
