I just bought my DIL a compact Taurus 9mm, that’s what my GGS and I were out shooting today. Figured we’d run a box thru to loosen it up and find any bugs (we did) so we could fix them before we sent it off.

BTW, Czarina has a Mossberg Shockwave, a great around-the-farm piece. Even better with the 2-inch #4 buck shells in it. Holster’s a bit large but it’s impressive and will make any rural trespasser think twice about walking past those ‘No Trespassing’ signs we have posted along the road.

Lucille I’m not sure if you’re serious about this gun but if you are thinking about getting it for self defense it’s not really a good option. It’s cute a fun range gun. Gentleman will roll their eyes at you 🙂 !
But a good self defense gun should be all business, ideal for a woman is black, it is harder for a perp to see, pink guns, brushed metal, glossy steel are easier to spot, and make you an easier target.

Good morning, WeeWeed! Firearm sales must be going through the roof! Knowing that any one of the Dems running actually thinks he/she would be a good President shows they are stone cold nuts. So it’s great motivation to purchase and go to the range a couple times a week. What a wonderful time to be in the firearm sales business.

I watched Life, Liberty, and Levin last night. What the person he was interviewing said made my blood run cold. He is a scientist who has studied how Google affects how people vote and it is really chilling. President Trump is aware of this study. He voted for Hillery, but is against what Google is doing and is very concerned about how it will affect the next election.
I tried to find the show on youtube, but someone tried to put it on about 4 times and only got a minute or two of it. If anybody here can get it, I think it is really important.

In the last PISA test, 2015-2016, the US 15 year olds tested came out 31st out of the 70 nations that participated. We came out behind Singapore, Hong Kong, mainland China, Slovenia, Poland, Vietnam, Czechoslovakia…just to name a few.
The PISA tests measure math, science and reading comprehension in 15 year old students…and the Rats are talking about lowering the voting age to 16. Says a lot about how the Democrats got to where they are and how they maintain their position.
Another PISA test coming up soon, beer bets on where we place?

I am. I think it makes the day start with a sense of order. Something classrooms could use today. My classrooms often had 30 students in them. So I am unimpressed when it is said that the classrooms are overcrowded with more than 15 students. It is because the students are not expected to behave.

I thought some of my college classes were crowded with 35 students until I went to an ‘100’ series English class a few back that was held in an auditorium.

I can remember the parent’s group that helped the local schools prepare for the state’s standardized testing had worked out a deal with our office to where they’d bring over boxes of stuff they put together to make study aids for the kids. I’d collate it, scan it in to the system and have the big presses create study books. They’d provide the paper and we’d supply the printing for free.
Even with these hog-stunner tomes and the teach-the-test system the district still polled almost last in the worst rated state in the union.

A fruitful weekend with our GGS. Yesterday he fired the .357 mag standard size revolver (my old duty revolver), the .38 2″ (my old backup piece) and today he’ll fire the subcompact 9mm. He’s getting really good, can control the pieces using range ammo and has safety down pat. He can keep all shots within an 8 X 8 at 25 feet so we’re doing well.
By the time he’s old enough to get into a hunter’s ed class he’ll be ready to go hunting with rifle, shotgun or pistol. We’re continuing that family tradition. Funny thing is that about 20 years ago while doing some work on the internet I found a piece about a relative from the side of our family that stayed in Poland. He’d found an abandoned dobermann one of my fav dogs) in a field that he’d turned over to an English-based rescue league. He’d founf the dob while he was out hunting.
