Lord, I can remember when a certain wild animal park was flooding the pet market with lion cubs in the early 70s. There were so many problems with them they finally outlawed their sale but my favorite call was one where the owner discovered that a grown male unaltered lion, regardless of how ‘friendly’ it was, could pee through sheetrock.

Maybe if the cat-egory is Schwarzenneger movies about the Urinator. How about a categories titled: ‘Things Rated #1’, ‘Juries of peers’? You don’t need PhD to come up with these.

I can remember going to an animal park in California when I was a little girl They had a show where the animals performed. The park was actually for training animals for the movies. A male lion decided to rain down on as many in the audience as he was able. A poor little kid in a stroller got quite a lot of it!
Luckily, I got missed, but the smell was AWFUL!

I think my worst one was walking into a backyard in a Florida housing development to find that the reason the owner had fenced in his whole backyard, including overhead, was his collection of big cats – and I’m not talking Maine Coons. We just backed put saying: “Nice kitty, nice kitty…”.
Owner just said that they were tame and wouldn’t hurt us – I said I’d believe that when I heard it from the cats in standard English.

Wuz jes outside and one of my favorite spiders, a real Japanese Godzilla bit part spider, had built its web out in the usual place. I usually try to kick up a cricket or two to feed her but it’s foggy an damp tonite – slim pickins’ – so I used my headlight to get a couple of moths to fly into her web. Not exactly a feast but they should keep her until something bigger comes along. My spiders are amazing.

We get lots of them on the porch around this time of year. And they are huge.

I think my fave-fav are the banana spiders. They are huge, build even hugerer webs and look as if they are wearing brightly colored leg w dew settarmers.
We have times, when the grass is a bit longer, when the dew settles and the lawn’s covered with grass spider webs, covered like a blanket.
There’s an array of them out here and they do help keep the bugs down and they provide a show.

Good morning, Nyet! You do realize that all the products you are serving contribute to global warming or climate change, right? Oil, gas for the vehicles used to bring the items to market, etc. There’s gotta be somebody collecting the carbon taxes as sort of a “get out of jail quick” pass. If you don’t know anyone, just send $2-5,000 to me at Athelhampton House in Dorset…a 15th century major house with incredible English architectural gardens…

Last Saturday at the annual convention of the Islamic Society of North America, presidential candidate Julián Castro said: “Muslim Americans for generations have been part of the fabric of our American family. They have helped make America the great nation it is.”
Every other day, it seems, someone takes it upon himself to instruct the West about what it “owes to Islam.” This is offered in a tone of intellectual reproach: how ignorant and ungrateful of the West not to appreciate Islamic civilization for all the things it has brought us.
