…and maybe invite him for a late afternoon repast here at the La Zagara Hotel Outdoor Dining Room…
Just last night I watched a movie filmed in one of the towns that looked like this. Oh! When I clicked on the square for the church, it popped up “Forbidden”!
This is Mark Steyn on Tucker Carlson giving a really funny parody (not sure if that is the word) of Biden’s story that he told on the campaign trail. Hilarious. Really cracks Tucker up.
Yes. I really enjoy Mark. His story really cracked me up. And, I really got a kick out of Tucker, too. He was laughing so hard he drooled on himself, he said. 😀
Did I ever tell this story…somewhere in the late 90s, Steyn changed his photo on his website. I emailed him somewhat of a mash note saying something along the lines of…”we’ve always known you have a fine mind, now we know what a fine looking hunk you are, too.”
A couple of weeks later I wanted to see if everything I’d ever written online was still available for viewing and so I just typed in my name. Up popped the note I sent him…he’d published it! Hahahahahahaha! With my full name!!! Hahahahahaha! Still makes me laugh.
I called a pal of mine and told her about it, saying I was sort of mortified to have my flirtatious note online for all the world to see. She told me to forget that! I should be happy and proud that he thought it was worth publishing. LOL!
I was going to post his latest screwup yesterday, then he and his spinners just made it worse almost immediately after he made it – guaranteeing it wouldn’t die. They’re getting to be as common as cat videos on the internet, just not as entertaining.

BTW, the Spaniards brought slaves to Mexico (see Wiki’s article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slavery_in_the_Spanish_New_World_colonies ) and their Caribbean colonies a hundred years before African slaves were brought to the British American Colonies. Are the Spaniards excoriated by the history revisionists of today?
I noticed one picture about the extreme heat in NYC in 1911. When they start complaining about globull warming now, remember these two heat waves in 1896 and1911. Pretty extreme. People were dying in their beds while sleeping. People slept out in the open air in the parks. Horses died by the hundreds. Very extreme.
As in the global warming disinformation, people buy into all sorts of hoaxes because they’re not interested in reading history. Thanks for the links, aus!
