President Trump’s meeting with Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada

It amuses me that the French and the Canadians always must speak two languages in every public meeting. Since English is now the worldwide language of diplomacy and commerce (French once was), it seems an affectation. Most other leaders either speak the language of their country, or English, not both.

I definitely think it is an affectation. I understand the French wanting to speak French. But, Canadians speaking both is pretty ridiculous and a good argument for not letting the U.S. become a dual language country. Trudeau looks like and sounds like such a kid. šŸ™„

Also, P. Trump’s expression looks to me like he feels he is dealing with a kid.

There is not a sound reason for the US becoming a dual-language country. I believe everyone speaking the same language and attending public schools made us a great nation. Kids interacted with kids different than themselves and had to learn to solve their problems. This is when the public schools taught rather than indoctrinated.

I believe that the push of dual-language or triple-language country or more is to weaken the US to the point of implosion.

There was a time in my life that I wore mis-matched, bright socks in order to make a statement. I was 13 years old and was messing with my gym teacher. That Sparkle Socks does something similar speaks to the maturity of both of us.
