The first tweet about the rats causing the children in the area not to be able to go to summer camp made me so angry. The people that let this happen are the same ones who are calling us racists and criticizing white people, even if they are white themselves. Are the parents of these children ignorant, stupid, on dope, or just apathetic? How have they not risen up and demanded this be taken care of?
I am concerned about Carpe Donktum. But, maybe him having to speak out this way will help change things.
Maybe Charlie’s absence left a space for the prayer we needed to hear today.

Looked up Adriano Espaillat reps New York’s Thirteenth Congressional District who represents the district the Jackie Robinson NYCHA Center is in…he’s serving his second term in Congress.

But does he bother to visit such facilities in his district? Apparently not…couldn’t find any reports which contained quotes from him or that he’s scheduled a visit to the rat/maggot infested center along with clean-up and repair crews. Supposedly a rat fumigation crew has been contracted for work there. Who contacted them? I’d wager not Espaillat.
