        You’re welcome, sand! Was able to rule out a couple of things including the thorough dental x-ray exam they thought might be causing medical issues…now it’s on to checking out other possibilities. Thanks!

        But after watching the following, I’ve vowed not to complain about anything…I posted these at CTH, too…

        Mark Carriker is a young man from Texas with a lovely wife and two children plus a wonderful extended family. Mark’s battle with cancer began last year with an initial operation on his sinus cavity tumor which seemed successful. However, the cancer has metastasized.
        Warning ⚠️ Emotions And Stuff!

        Mark was accepted into the experimental drug non-FDA-approved trials he mentions in th video above. With his great attitude he’s an excellent candidate for such experiments…but the side effects are pretty awful.

    I felt the elitist Never Trumpers heads exploding. Bill Kristol and Rick Wilson are probably besides themselves.

    But if you examine the sentence it has tremendous political power all the while seeming like a simpleton statement.

    7) Donkey nannies in Italy. Each year in Italy, grazing animals are moved from high pastures down to the plains. Newborn lambs are unable to make this journey on their own. Instead, they ride in the pouches of a specially made saddle on the back of a donkey or a mule nanny. They are taken down at rest stops and returned to their mothers for a bite to eat and a bit of nuzzling.

    WASHINGTON (AP) — Navy officials said Wednesday they are pulling achievement medals from prosecutors who argued the case against a decorated Navy SEAL who was acquitted in the death of a wounded Islamic State captive after President Donald Trump intervened.

    Trump tweeted earlier Wednesday that he had directed the secretary of the Navy and the chief of naval operations to “immediately withdraw and rescind” the Navy Achievement Medal from prosecutors who argued the case against Special Operations Chief Edward Gallagher, who was acquitted by military jurors earlier this month.

    “The Prosecutors who lost the case against SEAL Eddie Gallagher (who I released from solitary confinement so he could fight his case properly), were ridiculously given a Navy Achievement Medal,” Trump complained, adding, “I am very happy for Eddie Gallagher and his family!”

    Navy spokesman Cdr. Jereal Dorsey said that on Wednesday, after Trump’s tweet, Navy Secretary Richard Spencer rescinded the awards. As secretary, he has that authority, Dorsey said.

    Good Morning…..It’s been almost a year, but the contracting crew arrived yesterday morning and the renovation on the outside of the building is in full swing…..if all goes well, my end of August deadline will be met…..

    The garage door finally arrived and has been installed…

    The siding has been removed, the 1960’s post office entrance has been closed off, dirt excavation for the new patio has begun and the crew is swarming all over the place……I’m a happy camper….

    I am glad to see all the happy news on here today. I am waiting to hear if a couple adopts this adorable doggie I found on an adoption site last week. I was going to wait a little longer, but saw him and really would like to have him. My doggie died back in January. So, anyway, I am kinda on pins and needles. 🙂

          Whoops I’m in the side bar and thought you were responding to a different post. My Grinner was all set to go to a different family, we were second in line and she ended up coming home with us 🙂 .

            I prayed that I would get him, but I told God that I would accept whatever was meant for me. The lady I have been communicating with said she wasn’t sure he was the right one for this couple that will see him today.

            The funny thing is, I think this is a good adoption group, but for some reason his donation price is higher than others, he is being fostered a long way from here requiring an overnight stay, and now I have to pay a $250 deposit at my apt. complex to have a pet which I didn’t have to pay when I first moved in 9 years ago. So everything is against it.

              Milwaukee on the other hand is I think $50.00 to adopt.

                I noticed that most of the prices around here have some connection to breed, etc. The Yorkies, even the mixes, are very expensive, some over $700. Most seem to be about $250. My last little doggie cost me $250, but then I spent a lot of vet bills in the next two years. She had an ear infection that was difficult to get rid of, a bladder infection that took a year to clear, and teeth that had to be pulled over the years. I never regretted the cost. She was a great little companion.

                  I agree on the cost it is well worth it. I still mis my little sweetie every day.

                  I never did a breed specificities rescue, it is what I was looking into when I got my Italian Greyhound and it was about $400. (I think at the time).

                  I had my heart set on a puppy mill rescue. TedTed, he was missing a leg and a large portion of his jaw because of the horrors he experienced in the mill. It turned out his foster mom couldn’t give him up, which hurt at the time but she ended up paying thousands as in over 10 thousand in vet bills over the course of his lifetime.

                  I needed up rescuing an Iggy from Craigs List and she is a terrific little girl, so it all worked out in the end.

                    My Foxy was spoiled, too. They seemed to love her at her vets. She evidently bit one of the girls there and they wrote “BITES” on the top of her chart. But the vet used to laugh every time she looked at her chart because they knew how to treat her after that. She was so protective of me she would snarl and bark at anyone who got near me. If she was by herself, she didn’t do that. That is her picture in my avatar. She weighed 15 lbs.

                    She was a cutie ❤️. It may just be the picture but she looks like a miniature Golden Retriever.

                    I made the mistake of bringing both my dogs to the vet at the same time once. Lesson learned.

                    She was a cocker spaniel/dachshund mix. Her face was a mix of the Cocker/dachs mix and she had short little legs and a beautiful Cocker feather tail. The kids thought she was adorable. I finally realized she looked like a puppy when she walked. And, when she was being very vicious, she still looked so cute.

      I hope you get the dog that will fill that space for you. I know what that’s like. Now I have a scamp that still hasn’t grown up. He ate half of the case for my sunglasses this morning – stole it out of my purse. When I got to the funeral, one of the girls asked if I had some Kleenex, which I thought that I did, but it appears that he ate that too!

        My granddaughter who is 3, had to get glasses. She left them out and the Lab (you know how they are) got them and chewed them up. They had lifetime replacement insurance on the glasses and put all the pieces in the case and took them to the eye doctor. Of course, the first thing they said was that they had to produce the old glasses. So, they handed her the case that rattled with the pieces in it and she laughed.

          I have a pair like that too. Tucker got those and totally destroyed the metal frames and scratched the lenses so badly that nobody could ever see through them again.

            Mine ate some balls off the Christmas tree. They weren’t glass. I think they were some kind of foam coated with something the lab really liked. They stained the carpet all over red. 🙄

    ‘Evening, ladies and gentlymen.
    Today’s selections are a delicious treat of good news, as mom said upthread.
    A piece of laughable irony for tonight – Wicked Son was to close on the new house yesterday, but had to be put off til next Fri. In the process, the bank directed WS to their website, to check mortgage status, etc.

    Imagine WS’s (laughable!) joy to see the website is the one he personally designed and implemented 20 years ago. Seems the bank holding the new mortgage bought out a bank that had bought out WS’s employer for which he had designed the website.

    Think of the damage someone like WS could do with the knowledge he possesses. Thank goodness Evil Mom reared the kid with some morals and ethics, reinforced at regular church attendance.
    (but oh, the fun…)
