When I was a kid the neighbor boys used to lift each other onto the metal footholds and climb up as far as they could…before their moms saw them and demanded they stop doing something so dangerous. “What if you got electrocuted?” I never even tried…LOL!

Pismo was a great hangout for us teenagers…before the big hotels/condos/houses dotted the hills…it was once known for clam digging in the beautiful sandy beach…

What worries me is when the bad person puts a piece of orange plastic on the end of a real gun with live rounds, just to get in and cause real damage. Surely I am not he first to worry about this…..

The Liberal Political Hack judges have not lost their nuggets. The abbreviated version of Judge William O. Bertelsman dismissal of the Sandmann v WaPo lawsuit. (1) N Sandmann was not “really” singled out (2) the WaPo’s statements about N Sandmann were not defamatory and (3)WaPo didn’t print that N Sandmann acted criminally violent ?
This is a ruling based purely in politics not law.

The Mansions of Newport, Rhode Island (there are lots of vids at YT on these houses, but this is a short one…
Back in the Gilded Age, Newport was the hub of the summer social season for the rich and famous. People like the Vanderbilts and the Astors built some magnificent mansions which are now open to the public.

My mom and I did three, one dark gothic (Samuel Clement’s) one light and airy, one in neo-roccoco with cherubs and gold leaf. Great fun to pretend to live like they did.

I am watching Invisible Invaders. It was made in 1959. Typical B or C movie from that time..The walking dead were all dressed in suits. Hm, I guess because they had been buried that way. Anyway, one of the most interesting things was that I looked up John Agar, who starred in it, and he was in another movie in 2005, The Naked Monster………………… only he died at age 81 in 2002. I guess I will have to watch that one to see what is going on. 🙄

Well, I started watching The Naked Monster and it is a TERRIBLE spoof of low budget monster movies. I guess John Agar could have actually been in it because it took 21 years to make.

John Agar was Shirley Temple’s first husband, as I recall.
A fun little story about Agar…I was walking from what we called “The Black Tower” at Universal Studios over to my office in one of the bungalows and was carrying a file folder with script synopses in it. I looked up and James Edwards (who played the Army valet to General Patton in George C. Scott’s PATTON) was driving by with John Agar.
They were looking at me and I waved to them just out of friendliness. Well, the car came to a halt, backed up and they both said “Hello, where are you going” type of thing. I said, “Back to work” and “Where are you going?” “To lunch.”
Ordinarily, when you work at a studio you DON’T ask for autographs because the actors are there to work, not to be bothered. But I thought they just might be appreciative and they were…and very sweetly, too, as I got them both to autograph a script (unrelated to whatever they were doing on the lot, unfortunately), thanked them and they went on their way. I still have that synopsis in my files.

Unfortunately, photos of James Edwards are few and far between. This one has a watermark. He was really a fine actor.

I grow enormously weary of hearing about how such and such a court is going to rule on whatever Trump did that made liberals throw a temper tantrum this time.
What I want is for Trump to go Andrew Jackson on their rear ends and tell the courts that if they want to rule against him, that’s just fine and they can get down off the bench and enforce that ruling themselves because he won’t follow it or provide them the means to enforce it. I’m not generally in favor of anarchy but liberals haven’t been made to suffer enough for allowing Odummer to run the Constitution through a paper shredder and too many judges seem to think that it’s their right to write new law from the bench based on their feelings towards something. (And Republicans are worse than useless. I’m stymied to come up with a description about how useless the Republicans are. When it counts, you can always count on the Republicans to be worried about what CNN will say about them, as though CNN ever says anything nice about them anyway.)
