Fifty years ago today, Apollo 11 blasted off into space for a 240,000 mile trip to the moon!

I don’t know where this footage came from, but it’s pretty exciting.

        At some point in the last 61 years I have had to reconcile myself to the inexplicable and boundless stupidity of many, perhaps even a majority, of people. Not sarcasm, I am serious. As a child and young adult I was really disturbed and confused at how dumb people were.

        I think if I go to hell it will be primarily because I hate stupid people.

          It boggles the mind. My aunt loves to tell this story about my sister when she was about two years old. She’d overheard my aunt say that she hated dumb illiterate people and my aunt didn’t think it could come back and bite her from voicing it out loud. Anyway, she took my sister to the store and a sales lady came up to ask my aunt if she needed any assistance. My sister looked at the lady and said… I hate dumb illiterate people. The sales lady was somewhat shocked and asked my aunt if she’d heard the child correctly and my aunt said yes… I believe she said that she hates dumb illiterate people. My aunt took my sister and hauled her out of there. That poor sales lady… I feel kind of sorry for her. LOL.

          What many people don’t have is curiosity…a sincere need to know things. They just sort of drip and drab day to day with no deep thoughts or appreciation for what great men and women have expressed and from which we can learn about life, living, religion, politics, you name it.

          I’m not saying that these are not good people. A lot of them are kind, generous, sweet, and a non-inspiring day can be spent with them on occasion which is satisfying. But there is virtually nothing to talk with them about otherwise…no reading matter which is challenging, nothing they’ve viewed on TV which can bring a larger picture to them. They’ve given up on being stretched. It’s downright sad.

    Good morning, good morning all. Hope your week is going well. House goes officially up for sale today, I’d appreciate a few prayers for a hopefully quick sale and us being able to find a short term place to live that will accommodate our two large dogs. That is going to be the trick, and I don’t have a plan yet.

      Good day to you, Nyet! Just take a serving of each item, put the lot on a big serving tray and send it out here overlooking the Pacific in San Diego, CA…

      …where the room needs a warm-up with an interesting plant arrangement rather than the lamp on the left (which should be closeted for good)…

      …some unusual decorative pillows with an ocean theme…

      …jettison the elephant table and lamp and replace it with something simple along with some large shells (I mean what does an elephant have to do with the ocean?)…though there is this, albeit not in San Diego…

      You’d think for a room costing $400 a night management could break for a nice bottle of champagne, iced in a beach-themed cooler on the coffee table, right?

      Well, we did recall Gov. Gray Davis sometime in the 90s, can’t remember when now. So it CAN be done. And Davis, a friend of my boss and actually quite a nice guy, was nowhere near as incompetent, socialist or nutty as Newsom. Newsom deserves bouncing out on his backside pronto.

    Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.
