This morning’s Twitter hits …

History repeats itself.

The former top lawyer for Hillary Clinton’s failed presidential campaign who hired Fusion GPS to carry out controversial opposition research against then-candidate Donald Trump in 2016 is now working for a top 2020 Democratic presidential hopeful.

Marc Elias, who heads Perkins Coie’s political law group, became general counsel for California Sen. Kamala Harris’ presidential bid this year. Elias, who held the same position in Clinton’s campaign, is named in two pending Federal Election Commission complaints and in a recent federal lawsuit alleging that the Clinton campaign broke campaign finance laws when it used Perkins Coie to hire Fusion GPS.

There is a reason why famous quotes are famous: they are largely true. Here’s another: “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results.”

Charlie is one of the good guys. It’s great to have a young guy who is on our side. I’m following him from now on.

I just subscribed to Dan Bongino’s podcast. You might want to do that too. If so, click on the link in this tweet.

This really IS funny! Reminds me of the run-up to the 2016 election. Crazy people. The sad thing is that there are so many who believe these idiots, and they didn’t watch the Salute To America, so they have no idea what really happened. Of course, the fact that the networks didn’t carry it doesn’t help. I don’t think PBS carried it either, and they get a government subsidy.

Two of my relatives on Facebook had plenty to say about how horrible Trump was to use this as a campaign rally, running tanks in a military parade, spending too much money, selling VIP passes to donors etc. I asked if they watched it. One refused to answer, and one obviously lied (the Canadian who butts his nose into everything American.)Praying for our friends in California!

Another snake.

That explains a lot. The Hate America Crowd stick together.

This is just weird. It’s okay with me, though, as long as she doesn’t ask for special accommodation. I wonder if she can gallop?

Watch out czar and czarina! They are coming to your neighborhood.

Well, I would agree with that. This is a Quinnipiac poll; I’ve found them to be pretty accurate in the past.

Ronald Reagan was the most common answer among those surveyed for the best President since World War II, with 35% choosing the Republican icon. Another 18% chose Bill Clinton, and 15% chose John F. Kennedy.

Morning prayer.

AMEN!

Have a beautiful day!

My goodness. Some strange ones this morning. That woman who acts like a horse needs to be committed. SMH Love that John Denver song. Heck, what am I saying. I love all John Denver songs, I think. Those people going into Mexico and interfering in the border problem need to be prosecuted.

Note that this post post-dates my post on the same thing, what’s going on is and has had a long-running undertone of conservative hate for a long time.

I couldn’t be happier to see the Advocate buy out the TP, the TP was a hotbed of leftist liberal claptrap for a long time and my only complaint was the TP’s long and drawn out death was too long and drawn out. When the Advocate came to NOLA it put a pillow over the TP’s already ashen face and finished the job.

One of the Essence Fest traditions is to overestimate the crowds. In 2017 the barkers tried to push the figure of 60-thousand in attendance at the closing event. A nice try considering the Dome only holds 45-thousand. Ditto with total attendance numbers, they tried to push a figure of 450,000 attendees. Considering that would have been about twice the total population of the city at that time one wonders where they stayed and where they ate. The city has a record of way overestimating attendees for various events for promotional reasons but that one way way overboard.
