President Trump and First Lady Melania welcome Charles and Camilla to the US Ambassador’s Winfield House residence

Tonight the President and First Lady entertain the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall at Winfield House, the residence of the U.S. Ambassador.

According to the Daily Mail, guests of the President of the United States sat down to enjoy a lavish dinner at which Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall were the guests of honor.

The Duke and Duchess smiled for photographs standing next to the President and First Lady in advance of the dinner this evening held to reciprocate for last night’s lavish banquet at Buckingham Palace.

Melania looks stunning in a red Givenchy gown.

Inside there were no speeches, unlike the previous evening, but the Prince and the President both gave brief toasts.

Doesn’t Sarah look lovely?

President Trump said: ‘To Her Majesty The Queen and Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall.’

Charles in his toast said: ‘Ladies and Gentlemen please would you join me in toasting The President of The United States of America and Mrs. Trump.’

Outside the intimate dining room, as guests chatted animatedly, the US flag flew at half mast in remembrance of the 12 killed by a gunman in Virginia Beach last week.

Other guests from the US side included Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Secretary of the Treasury Steven Mnuchin, and National Security Advisor John Bolton.

In the dining room, six round tables were set out, seating 10 people each, each laid with a white tablecloth, white roses and white candles.

At the President’s table, Mrs. May was seated at his left, and Prince Charles, on the President right; while the First Lady dined with Philip May and the Duchess.

Guests at the black tie dinner dined on fresh burrata cheese with heritage tomatoes, basil, and Maldon salt; grilled fillet of beef with pommes Anna, watercress puree, celeriac and chantenay carrots; followed by summer berries, homemade vanilla ice cream with Muscovado sugar tuile.

The wines were from the Iron Horse winery in northern California: a chardonnay with the starter, a pinot noir with the main course, and champagne with dessert.

Advice from me: I would skip reading the article, where the Daily Mail looks down their collective noses at the President who is a man of simple tastes and often eats fast food. They continue:

Though no doubt sourced from the finest ingredients and prepared by the finest chefs, the meal amounts to beef and potatoes followed by vanilla ice cream.

And while last night’s wine list included a Bordeaux Premier Cru which costs more than £1000 a bottle, the Californian white and red to be served tonight cost less than £50.

Nasty snobs.

By the way, the Daily Mail editors do a crappy job. I had to clean up their spelling and punctuation. If I missed any errors, I apologize in advance.

“Nasty snobs.” Yep. Personally, I would take beans and cornbread over that weird fancy food they sometimes serve.

What’s the wager that if it were a blind test, those Daily Mail snots wouldn’t know the difference between a $1,000.00 bottle of vino and a $50.00 any more than I would. As the Brits would say, toffee-noses!

I just looked up birthdays…as we know, our President was born June 14, 1946. Prince Charles, November 14, 1948. Melania, April 26, 1970. Camilla, July 17, 1947.

Camilla doesn’t dress or wear hats to feature her better qualities, and her hair may look better worn in a nice, open-style high bun…with all that money…nada….

Remember when every MSM outlet was losing its mind, clutching its pearls and breaking fainting couches as they breathlessly reported that President Trump received 2 scoops of ice cream whereas his guests only received a single scoop? 🙂

As for the royal family, one would think, with all their money, formality, manners, etiquette, pomp and circumstance that they could improve their posture. Collectively. All of them hunch and bob their head slightly awkwardly forward, almost like a genetic defect.

Harry seems to be the only one who does not have this hunch stance as his normal posture. Weird.

Yes but William hunches (even when he was younger) and all them hunch. It’s just weird to me. Charles and Camilla.

I have just been looking at pictures and it appears that the area between their neck and the ball of their shoulder is angled downward more than an average person’s body is structured making them look hunched even when they’re not leaning forward.
