Thyme is an herb that I use dried or fresh all of the time in my kitchen. I add it to stocks, braised meats, and roasted vegetables. I also add it to chicken and dumplings and chicken pot pie.

      I like the architecture for office buildings or train stations, etc. Not so much for an actual living space, though a “celebrity” is rumored to have engaged Ando to build a residence on an eight acre site in Malibu in the bluffs above Paradise Cove (where Jim Rockford in THE ROCKFORD FILES kept his trailer–a very fun show to work on) but word is not out yet who.

        I find the top one dizzying! The art museum might be nice to live in, since the grass & dirt roofwould act as temperature moderaters and the water is calming.

    Annnnnnd it’s off to a slow start….

    Just had a packet of thyme seeds in my hand wondering if I should plant some in a hanging basket for scent. We don’t end up using all of what we plant but it’s good to have on the patio just for seeing and smelling.

    The first large group of 116 migrants from AFRICA are caught on video wading across the Rio Grande to illegally enter the U.S.

      Nothing new about this except for the size of the load. DHS has maintained a lid on the numbers of African and ‘Moslem country’ (which includes some in Africa) border crossers they catch. Last time I worked the issue in 2003 they were talking about ‘Arabs’ caught crossing the border – internally, not so much outside the group.

      The cartels control border crossings and they’ve built some real snazzy and hi-techy tunnels we’ve found. They talk about how many tons of drugs may have been brought in but totally ignore talking about how many ‘Arabs’ may have paid top-dollar for a clandestine trip thru a cartel tunnel.

          It’s been 16 years since I first ran into it and I’m betting that it hasn’t gotten better in the meantime. Of course You Know Who was all for his murderous kin coming in illegally but the MSM seems to be continuing the ‘welcome mat’ policy.

    I updated my Kindle this year. This may not have been a wise move on my part. Now I spent time prowling to see what on my wish list has dropped in price, so i buy eBooks a lot more than I used to. I do feel like I am being targeted, though, since after I upgraded my Kindle, there were all sorts of good book deals, and just now I was offered a $3 credit on select books. How is that not targeting me?

    I did pick out which of the applicable book titles I was going to use this credit on. Never read it, but it sounds interesting.

    I need an intervention, and I might get one if I wasn’t so busy reading.

      All-in-all, reading is not the worst of addictions. I have a friend from Thailand who collects antique teapots and she’s up to over 100. Another friend collects and creates fishing lures of all different types. At one time I had a huge collection of sugar and creamers.

      One of my cousins has a library of 5,000+ hardbound with a sprinkling of large-size paperback books almost all having to do with world and ancient history. When he inherited his mother’s estate, he acquired even more (mostly novels) plus a big condo to house them all in. LOL!
