   Only peripherally relates to the story but the Springs and Peterson AFB share the same runway. If this weren’t an official visit AF 1 would pay a landing fee and park on the civilian side. As this is an official visit AF 1 can turn left and park on the military side. I’ll bet they’ll still pay a landing fee though.

   As Northcom and Spacecom are both at Peterson I wouldn’t be surprised if he visits one or both, in either case he could get a good lunch and a grand bells and whistlers lunch. He could go over to Schriever AFB (nee Falcon AFB) to see the spooky site but before I retired the only Big Wig I remember going there was a Russian general. I have no idea why.
