    Looks like the owners put a water barrier in front of the door to keep the cat from entering. But as we know, where there’s a will, there’s a way…

      I’ve said before that the old grouch Daisy dog sleeps by our bedroom door and tries to keep the BD dog and the 22 pound Fat Cat out. The cat used to quickly wait for Czarina to go to bed and go in with her, Daisy stays outside with me for her pills and cheese. Lately, however, the Fat Cat has decided that waiting until I go to bed is a better idea as going earlier cuts into his cat food eating time.

      Now he had a problem, an 80-pound kvetch blocking his way into the bedroom. He’s sat on the couch and watched me bring BD in past the kvetch by guiding her with a flashlight and now I not only have to guide BD in by light but separately guide the cat in. If I don’t bring the dog in she’ll bark until I do, if I don’t bring the cat in he’ll either meow plaintively or pester Daisy until she barks.

      Can they train us or what?
