I’m sure there is a good reason for the name “Archie”, but I don’t know what it is. It seems weird to me.

Archibald is a pretty common British name. Archie for short. I think it’s sorta cute.

I have long believed intelligence has been mostly bred out of British royalty. What little I know about the Queen seems impressive but her offspring…

Yeah, but in this case look who Harry married, a liberal Hollywood starlet. I don’t know where the rumors came from, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they were true and the Queen put the kibosh on the whole stupid idea.

Harry reminds me a bit of Princess Margaret. The younger sibling who most likely will never be
kingmonarch, and becomes the wild child. Maybe now that he is married, he will settle down. He sure looks happy to be a dad.LikeLiked by 4 people

Inbreeding is very much a part of the British royal family. I think Elizabeth and Philip are cousins. Just looked it up – 3rd cousins. Both are descendants of Queen Victoria.

Yes, from an article I read a long time ago I believe Charles’ ears and “pointy” features are attributed to the long line of not introducing new genes to the family pool.

Philip’s father was a big philanderer (King of Greece) and his mother ended up in an asylum for a while, then joined a nunnery.

Czar Nicholas II’s wife Alexandra was a descendant of Queen Victoria too, and their son Alexei inherited hemophilia from that line. He died (murdered with the rest of his family) at age 13 in 1918.

I was thinking they could name him Reginald, that would cover the bases on both sides of his family. Then again, what does it matter what you name an anachronism?

I have known only one Archie in my life, he was just a little boy when I knew him, his mom named him after one of her patience who passed away from cancer. She said the patient was the sweetest most positive person she ever met in her entire life.

Yes I do! They have a show now called Riverdale, my daughter said the show is “Horrific” . Totally ruined the characters and spirit of Archie.
An example is the show made Mrs. Grundy a sexy seductive young teacher.
