It does. I’m making other lifestyle changes. I’ve started doing a 16/8 intermittent fast, so I only eat between 7 am and 3 pm and eat very healthy foods. And I’m trying to make sure and get two good walks in each day. I think it’s making a big difference in how I feel physically and with reducing stress.

You are so right about walking being a great stress reliever. Walking was always my most relaxing exercise and helped in winding down.
When I first moved to L.A. I couldn’t afford a car, so lived within walking distance of the office. Walked to and from work–around 10 blocks each day for two years. Then we moved to Century City–the business park created out of the old back lot of 20th Century Fox which includes a shopping center, the Century Plaza hotel, and now many other buildings and restaurants, where I went out for a walk every lunchtime. Over the years I had other jobs where I walked to and from work.
Vacations where walking was easy was always a priority, too…the first time going to Hawaii I stayed on Waikiki Beach, Oahu and had great fun exploring.
Up until two years ago I was still walking a lot and miss it like crazy.

I loved working out at the gym when I was a young woman, but due to a hip condition, my options for exercise are much reduced. I would swim, if I could find a private pool that used a non-chlorine product to clean the water, like a salt pool. I can use my stationary recumbent bike, if I could make myself sit that long. LOL! Walking is the best option for me, for the time being, but someday my hip will again prevent it and require yet another surgery. Ahhh well…. 🙂

Good morning Stella, been there, done that. Sun is shinning, I mowed the front and side yard yesterday, today I need to do the backyard before it rains. We’re supposed to get rain on and off for a week once it starts.

My neighbor kid mowed mine yesterday. You can almost watch it grow this time of year, can’t you? We have 4 days of rain forecast after today.

I did the hose-end Weed-b-Gone thing a month ago, but none of the weeds look even sickly. I fear it was last year’s bottle, and had deactivated. Guess I’ll buy another one.
LikeLiked by 1 person
I was going to spray them today but with the cooler temperatures and rain almost here it would be a waste of time and weed killer.
My weed killer is from last year also 😏.
LikeLiked by 1 person
Unless the killer’s been stored badly it should last more than a year. A lot of the problem’s matching the killer to the weed and time of year.
Another issue is not enough time from spraying to the next rain/watering.
Don’t know if you use spreader/sticker, it breaks down the surface tension on the water in the spray and prevents the molecules from rolling off of the plant leaves.
Also your water’s contents at times effect the efficacy of the weed killer – some are sensitive to the calcium in it, some to high chlorine levels, best to google the active ingredient and see what chemicals it’s not friendly with.
There’s also a marker solution you can buy that leaves a blue stain where you spray. It shows you where you’ve sprayed and how much so that you don’t over/under spray. It disappears in a few days so you don’t have to worry about the looks and it doesn’t mess with the active ingredient in the killer.

Thanks Czar. I don’t have a big area to spray, just the two patches in front of my house where I have some flowering bushes and a Rose of Sharon.
I have Round Up and I stored it in my unheated garage.
LikeLike
If you’re just doing a small bit I’d suggest buying the distilled water in the grocery store to mix it. I do that in my small sprayer as I spot spray close to vulnerable plants and I need full efficacy.
Roundup is sensitive to the calcium and magnesium in the water and especially sensitive to chlorine. If you have either, or both, along with the chlorine you’re going to get some degradation.

I just have the gallon spray jug that I don’t have to dilute? It really is a small area. I get weeds along the fence that runs along 3 sides of my yard but I just mow them down with the grass.
the only areas I spray are the two small patches in front of my house.
LikeLiked by 2 people
You can buy the small bottles of glyphosate (Roundup’s generic name) much cheaper than the already prepared. Save the spray jug and just dilute the generic stuff. You pay for ‘convenience’.

I have handheld from 1 to five gallon and a 25 gallon tank for our ATV. We try not to spray except in the 2ish acre yard area as we like the wildlife and they like the natural.
We have wicked poison ivy, it grows here like dandelions grow up north and it’s sorta immunish to sprays so it gets cut with an after application of brush killer with spreader/sticker.
Most of our bulk brush killer is painted on stumps of things we cut we don’t want to come back, painting it on almost totally eliminates its getting into the ground.

By the way, if anybody has a problem with Canadian thistle, I found a product that is specifically for thistles, and it got rid of mine. I had fought them for literally years, and they were all gone in one application. It took a couple of weeks for them to die, but they stayed dead!
Canadian thistle grows from roots that can be eight feet under ground. Pulling them just makes them more vigorous, and RoundUp doesn’t touch them.
The stuff is called Thistledown, and it is manufactured by Monterey Lawn & Garden Products. I found it on Amazon. The active ingredient is Clopyralid.
LikeLiked by 2 people
Thistledown is also available from Walmart…https://www.walmart.com/ip/THISTLE-DOWN/19276744 … just in case anyone wants to take some money out of Bezos’ pockets.

I hope you never do, because it is ugly, invasive and difficult to get rid of. It even grows in the lawn, and when I had lawn service they couldn’t get rid of it either. If left alone, it will grow 3 feet tall.

I think there are a number of factual errors in the Mueller report which, if he ever testifies, might be more edifying than watching Cohen eat chicken. Here are just two. I still cannot understand how, when no government agency examined the DNC servers, he could possibly conclude the leaks from it were the result of Russian hacking as opposed to a download by someone with internal access to it.
More significant is the very basis for the investigation itself. Purportedly the investigation was triggered by George Papadopoulos’ conversations, not just the now thoroughly discredited Steele Dossier. At the Senate hearing the attorney general disclosed that Alexander Downer, a former Australian diplomat, was the source of the information, which, we are told, was the trigger for the investigation. While this had been reported earlier, this is the first time the government has publicly acknowledged Downer’s role. As for the information from Downer, it seems to me the conversation was thrown in to buttress the predicate for the entire witch-hunt, the Dossier clearly being an inadequate basis. Barr seems to agree:
Barr suggested in his testimony that he has concerns with the FBI’s rationale for opening the investigation based on the Aussie tip.
“I would have to see exactly what the report was from Downer, the Australian Downer, and exactly what he quoted Papadopoulos as saying,” Barr told Durbin.
“But from what you just read, I’m not sure what the correlation was between the Russians having dirt and jumping to the conclusion that that suggested foreknowledge of the hacking.” …

Mueller/Weissman didn’t conclude it…they put it in the hoax report KNOWING IT WAS A LIE. Satan isn’t called the Father of Lies for nothing.
John 8:44: “You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.”
Whoah…a very sobering indictment from our Lord.
Yes, we are all sinners…and hopefully spiritually convicted, confessed and repentant ones. We all have put out with exaggerations and lies, usually to make ourselves seem better or more pure in motive. When we tell untruths, however, let us be reminded who is inspiring the lie.
Mueller and his crew of assassins have much to answer for and repent of.
LikeLiked by 1 person
That depends on what your definition of conclude is 😎.
Team Mueller decided it was an acceptable foregone conclusion that it could continue to foist on Americans. So it was added to the report as an unassailable concluded piece of the Russian Hoax puzzle.
This in many ways is a good thing. Team Clinton/Obama continue to fight as if we live in a pre-President Trump world.
Good.

When I lived in Washington the local cable stations included many that did nothing but play music 24/7. I usually chose the New Agey type channel because it’s peaceful and could be used as background music while reading. With each selection there would be a description of who the artist was and what the title and/or album it was from. One day I heard this song, made note of the artist and song title, and subsequently bought the CD. Dulin writes and performs his own music.

Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall.
Spread blessings over Israel and Netanyahu.
We humbly ask that You please comfort those who are grieving and in pain.
Thank you Father, for Your Love and the gift of Life.
In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.

A prayer for Justice Kavanaugh and Col. Flynn:
Prayer to St. Michael
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle;
be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do you, O prince of the heavenly host,
by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan and the other evil spirits
who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.
In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
