Cute! I really need to sleep like that. I’ve been battling insomnia for three nights now. Wednesday night we had a doozy of a storm and the thunder was shaking the house. It was so loud. Scared me to death… anyway… I didn’t sleep any that night. Fingers crossed that tonight is better.

Overall, I rather like McCarthy. He’ll work for President Trump’s reelection and put more heart into it than his predecessor.

I’m wondering when the Rats will openly start admitting that Hillary’s mostly responsible for the mess their party is in? She took control, rode roughshod over it and basically screwed the natural progression of orderly leadership and developing viable candidates. She stomped on everyone in the Old Guard to take control and guarantee her being chosen as the 2016 Great Wide Hope.
She left her party in shambles, there was no organized core to contain and control the Loony Left and the nuts sprouted. You don’t even hear her discussing the damage she left in her wake while the faithful try to salvage face by political assassination of a sitting president, a coup by any other name. It’s Trump they’re after as they can’t go after her. I’m sure they’d like to skin her, tan the hide and make a Big Tent to hold the 2020 DNC under but they can’t so they’ll settle for vengeance on Trump.

…then I’m off to Andros Island…
…after a short rest, I’m hoping to get a glimpse of that clear water…
…afterwhich it’s back to my vacation retreat…2nd house over, ground floor with red-roofed balcony…

I have lost a critter….Yesterday, Squeaks came in the door swinging a brown bundle from his mouth and when he laid it at my feet, it took off. It’s a little bunny that’s about 3 weeks old and it’s only about 4 inches long.
After a few missed attempts to capture Mr. Bunny, I went into ‘pet’ mode. I heated up a hot water bottle, brought out the syringes and pet milk and fed the little guy. Then I placed Mr. Bunny in a nice cozy nest inside a dresser drawer and left the drawer open an inch so that Mr. Bunny could breath.
Went to feed Mr. Bunny this morning and he was not in the drawer. I have spent the morning trying to find Mr. Bunny but it’s like trying to find a mouse in a storage facility and of course Squeaks will hunt outside, but inside? Not happenin’. As of this moment….Mr. Bunny is missing somewhere in my house. Good Times.

Mornin Stella.. My fear is that the little guy wasn’t yet weaned off his mama so the only thing I can offer in the way of enticement is some young clover that I’ve strategically set out. We’ll see if it attracts his attention, but I’m not real optimistic at this point.

Do you know that the dressers being sold these days come with drawers that cannot be taken out. I didn’t. However, I learned it today and I also learned that little bunnies can climb vertically with stunning speed. Amazing….
About 5:00, I finally caught Mr. Bunny and my nephew & his little four year old daughter took Mr. Bunny home with them to see if they can save him. Fingers crossed.

He had made his way to my bedroom and had worked himself up inside the framework of a dresser. It was the scratching sound of his climbing that finally gave him away.

Oh, so glad you found him, litenmaus. Best of luck to your nephew. Other than mice, I’ve never had a creature get lost in my home. A childhood dog was lost outdoors and never found. I still think of him every once in a while…such a character

Evening Lucille….When my son was four his hamster chewed it’s way out of the cage. I searched for that little sucker for days. I finally solved his disappearance the following winter when I went to put on my snow boots. Now that I think back on it, I don’t think I ever did tell my son that the mystery of the disappearing hamster was solved. :0)

It was nonpoisonous. Czar used to have several king snakes in wood cages with glass fronts. The loose snake was one he brought home from a pet store in a paper bag & forgot to put in a cage!

We went to see Breakthrough today. It is very good. Great story and they didn’t Hollywood it up. However, tissues are required. A young boy falls in the ice and is without a pulse for longer than is survivable. But, he does, and the people around him are all affected by his recovery. At the end, the pictures of the actors and the people they played are shown.
