The New York Times, The FBI, and Spying

I don’t read the New York Times any more, but the New York Post is reporting that the FBI sent a blond bombshell to meet Trump aide Papadopoulos, and the information has been leaked in the Times. HERE’S what they said:

The “sexy bottle blonde” woman whom a former Trump campaign adviser says came on to him in a London bar was sent there by the FBI to investigate suspected campaign collusion with Russia, according to a new report Thursday.

The woman, who used the name Azra Turk, was working for the feds when she posed as a research assistant who wanted to discuss foreign policy with Trump adviser George Papadopoulos, the New York Times said.

Turk, whose real name is unknown, traveled to London to work with Cambridge University professor Stefan Halper, a longtime FBI informant whom the feds had told to set up a meeting with Papadopoulos, according to the Times.

But the feds learned nothing of value when Papadopoulos and Turk had drinks on Sept. 15, 2016, or when Papadopoulos later met with Halper at the Sofitel hotel in London’s West End, and Turk returned to the US, the Times said.

The revelation of the FBI’s role in arranging the meetings came amid claims by Trump and his supporters that US officials under then-President Barack Obama spied on his campaign.

It looks more and more like the stuff is about to hit the fan, and that Bill Barr was right to use the word “spying”, and the predicate to make it legal probably doesn’t exist.

Whether or not this will end in prosecutions is anybody’s guess, although I hope so, but there is a lot of talk on Twitter and Facebook.

By his own description, Paul Sperry is former D.C. bureau chief for Investor’s Business Daily, Hoover Institution media fellow, author of several books, including bestseller INFILTRATION.

Is not Azra Turk the “Putin’s niece” honeypot that was brought to meet PapaD in London? Sounds like it. If so, wonder why that part was left out.
And what about Joseph Misfud? Was not Misfud the guy who pushed the “Russia has Clinton emails” trap to PapaD, and Halper the guy tasked to pull “Russia has Clinton emails” out?
So many players, they become a blur at times.

And was not Azra Turk CIA, not FBI, as well as Halper and Misfud? That is what PapaD claimed. PapaD was also being threatened with FARA violations as a lobbyist for Israel, of that much I am certain. PapaD was quite specific in that in his 90 minute interview with Byron York.

Neither the Times’ nor the Post’s story quite fits with my memories of hours and hours of listening to various interviews.

Ah well. Eventually one quits trying to keep up with the lies.
As Tucker Carlson would say, “But RUSSIA!”
