He does that with grandkids too! As you know, I have Conner who can push you to the very edge of sanity. Then he smiles. Oh, that boy, as beautiful as any of God’s perfect creations and can be as aggravating as all get out.
He gets around me though, especially now that he has taken to asking for me to come get him, then throwing himself in my arms when I see him.
Pups and kids. God sneaks them up on you.

So true! I remember one Christmas when James – usually standoffish – came into my house and jumped into my arms. Besides being flabbergasted, he was too big to do that, and almost knocked me flat.

Yeah, I can clearly remember time going by soooooooo much more slooooowly when I was in school.

I’m sometimes worried that as quickly as time goes by for me that my GGS being around me speeds it up for him too.
I can barely remember him as a small kids and his baby years are largely erased from my memory even though he lived with us. Then again it is fun watching him grow from a baby to a toddler to a young kid as he matures.

My older GS is 18 (almost 19!) and I remember the day he was born as if it was yesterday.

I remember the day my 1st grandson was born, I was there. It’s the stuff in between that gets hazy.

Yep. And I have a ggg-grandaugher that is going on 4! (5 generations of girls including me) 🙂 Plenty grandsons/great grandsons too! I am blessed 🙂

He’s a bit calmer these days, and better behaved most of the time, although he still does grab and chew things that he shouldn’t now and then. That’s when he get time out, and he knows to go into his crate when he’s been naughty.
