You may have heard that a man named Joshua Pitcock was possibly an informant for the FBI inside the White House. Mr. Pitcock’s wife, Katherine, is an employee of the FBI who was assigned to the Hillary Clinton email investigation. Josh Pitcock was a member of President Trump’s transition team, then worked for VP Mike Pence as his Chief of Staff during the first six months of the Trump administration, leaving in July of 2017. Pitcock also worked for Mike Pence when he served in the House of Representatives.

Senators Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and Ron Johnson (R-WI) claim they have uncovered text messages that may show the FBI spied on Trump campaign staffers after the 2016 presidential election.
In a letter to Attorney General William Barr, Johnson and Grassley highlight a text messages between FBI lovers Peter Strzok and Lisa Page prior to a FBI briefing with the Trump transition team. The two seem to discuss using the meeting to foster relationships and gather information about transition team officials, according to the Washington Times.
“…In the course of our oversight work we have reviewed certain text messages that may show potential attempts by the FBI to conduct surveillance of President-elect Trump’s transition team,” write the senators.
The nature of these communications, and the precise purpose of any attempts to “develop relationships” with Trump or Pence transition team staff are not immediately clear. Were these efforts done to gain better communication between the respective parties, or were the briefings used as intelligence gathering operations? Further, did any such surveillance activities continue beyond the inauguration, and in the event they did, were those activities subject to proper predication? Any improper FBI surveillance activities that were conducted before or after the 2016 election must be brought to light and properly addressed.
A text exchange floats the idea of bringing someone into the meeting to determine if Mr. Strzok and Ms. Page can develop “potential relationships” with transition team members.
“If Katie’s husband is there, he can see if there are people we can develop for potential relationships,” Mr. Strzok wrote, although Katie was not identified further.
“Katie” could possibly refer to Katherine Pitcock.

Vice President Pence is asking for further investigation into the attempted infiltration.
“I was deeply offended to learn that two disgraced FBI agents considered infiltrating our transition team by sending a counter intelligence agent to one of my very first intelligence briefings only 9 days after the election,”
“This is an outrage and only underscores why we need to get to the bottom of how this investigation started in the first place.”
“The American people have a right to what happened and if these two agents broke the law and ignored long-standing DOJ policies, they must be held accountable.”
Mr. Pitcock and his wife also issued a statement today:
Speculation on social media is pretty wild. Some have even suggested that Mike Pence himself might be a part of the conspiracy.

Until the FBI and DOJ comes clean and tells investigators what they want to know, the whole FBI is suspect. Holder, Lynch, & Sessions have a lot of explaining to do. As far as, Katherine Pitcock, let’s find out what she is ready to tell investigators what she knows about the Hillary e-mails. She is either very forthcoming or part of the conspiracy. We are a Constitutional Republic and we need to return to being a Nation of Laws.

I know Sundance considers this to be a “shiny thing” to direct attention away from the FBI/DOJ/CIA misdeeds, but I suspect they are already too well known for that to work. I could be wrong, though.

Stella, both your and SD’s theories could be correct at the same time, and one suspects that is the case, as czar details downthread.
These people proved their ineptitude a long time ago, and it is conceivable all, including those overseas, were working at cross-purposes.
They resembled Keystone cops to me a very long time ago.
The accusations against Pitcock and wife may be true, that Strzock/Page were trying to recruit them. The accusation does not make either Pitcock guilty of accepting Strzock/Page’s assignment. Heck, the offer may not even may have been made, only discussed.
The question remains – why did Grassley wait so long to bring this to the AG’s attention? Did Grassley not trust Rosenstein either? Or was Grassley waiting for a decent AG and/or the end of the Mueller “investigation?” dunno

If former Pence COS Pitcock is telling the truth, Jack Posobiec has libeled him. Pitcock needs to demand a retraction and hire an attorney to handle a suit if there is no retraction and apology. If he doesn’t do that, I’d call it suspicious.
As for V. P. Pence being tarred with the same brush, people need to remember that both President Trump and Vice President Pence are wanted out of office by the Deep State. We laugh at the thought of Nancy Pelosi becoming President, but the Dems would love nothing better.
Nance could then pick a new Vice President–perhaps her favorite Dem presently running for President or even HIllary–then resign as President. The new V.P. would gain the highest office and name her own V.P. Yes, it’s far-fetched, but it’s a scenario I’ve seen in print already.

There is a story out there that when the audio of Trump and Billy Bush first came out, many thought he would withdraw, and that Pence was ready to take over, with possibly Paul Ryan in the VP spot.
I don’t know if that’s true, but the story is out there.

I have never been able to acquire confidence in Pence.

Rats don’t believe they have to tar Pence, just keep him tied to Trump so that the taint of their smear job hangs around him.

Being the paranoid sort I have no doubt the Bureau had a mole. The Company and the NSA may well have been…surveilling…President Trump and, if so (most likely separately), would be doing it without each other having explicit proof of each other doing so…better known as ‘plausable deniability’. The Bureau having a mole in the WH might be not only good for HUMINT but it would give them someone who’d be able to plant/service/remove bugs so that regular sweeps wouldn’t detect them. That is if we’re talking in terms of Dan Brown meets Jon le Carre so to speak.
