One of the things I poster over at the Short Memory Span Warehouse was that in Bibi’s last election the Obama WH sent taxpayer dollars to Israel and the Rats sent campaign advisers to sway Israeli voters away from Bibi. This time it was Trump’s Golan Heights action that many are saying saved Bibi.

I saw Bibi’s speech to Congress when he came here and I thought he was going to choke as he tried to say nice things about Barry the Baathist . He looked like he was going to pass out from holding it in, oy! such double entendres.

Bibi does is not a poker player. I was looking at pictures of him and watching clips and I’ve watched him for a long time, he is a very passionate man, I have no doubt that if he could wring that disgusting rat’s neck he would do it in the blink of an eye.

He knew the jews-for-convenience and Baathists in our government are always looking for opportunities to hurt Israel but he needs US support and has to eat the cookie.
I’m surprised the anti-Semites in our Congress ignore the fact that if they embolden the Moslem nations around Israel to the point where they do something desperate that out Congressional Israel-haters might just see their Arab benefactors go up in big puff of radioactive smoke.

He had to, it’s a political visit and not a government business one so he can’t use government facilities. Thing is that SA Intl Aprt was recently voted 6th WORST airport in the nation and now the Texas AG is investigating the city to see if it’s refusing Chick-fil-A a slot at the airport for its religious beliefs.

I have a routine of poking Weed and Momma Tea and stepping into puddles/piles every now and then. We had a pretty good time today and someone I got into it with yesterday/day before (they tend to flow together) was so easily dealt with it was no challenge.
Missing Mike though, he seems to pop in but not that often.

I prefer them when I’m down to buying at the store. They’re cheaper and meatier than the globe toms and tastier too. Many growers flood the fields days before the harvest as it heavily hydrates the toms giving them more sake weight, keeping them plumper for the trip but also damping what little flavor they have. That hydrating doesn’t quite work like that with Romas so you generally don’t find a mushy Roma in the box.

I’m growing a heritage “paste” tomato this year, which is pretty much the same. I’ve grown Roma tomatoes in previous years, and really like them. My mother, who raised a lot of tomatoes in her years, was surprised how much she liked them too.

In the winter I really like the Campari brand cocktail tomatoes. They are nice and acid, and not mealy at all.

I’m told to try mixing some baking soda into the ground around my eating tomatoes to make the soil more alkaline and the tomatoes sweeter. Probably not the best idea for canners but eaters are an interesting thing to try it on.

Baking soda is an interesting ingredient. Did you know that treating food (ground beef, potatoes) with a small amount of baking soda improves browning? I’m sure lots of people know this, but I just learned about it.

Oy dats a killuh, going right onto the ‘Things I Shouldn’t Eat but Sure as Hell Will and Soon’ list.
Tonite I dug out a bunch of odds and ends fresh veggies (tomatoes, celery, lettuce, avocado) and some ham (Czarina had smoked pork) and mixed them with fresh sushi rice I made. Quick, cool and tasty. I have golden potatoes in the pantry – more starch tomorrow!

Reading Stella’s tribute to her Mom made me remember my Mom wasn’t as nice about having me when she was 37. Of course I was the baby of 7, 8 if an infant son had lived. 17 years between me and the oldest, so I think she was tired of raising kids by the time I was a teenager, because she would tell me all the time when I smarted off or did something I was not supposed to do or didn’t do something she told me to do, “I’m too darn old and tired to deal with a smart mouth teenager, that’s why God gives sane people kids when they’re young!”
The first time she ever told me that her brother who was in his 50’s and his wife who was 49 or 50 had just had a very late life baby, their youngest at the time was 2 years older than me. So being the smart mouth recent teen said, “Too bad you didn’t have me until now like your brother, then when I was this age I’d just hide your walker and go spend the night with my friend.” That was what the argument was over she had told me I couldn’t spend the night with my friend on a week night.

There were 18 years between my sister and me. My brother was 21. My mom was a widow, and married my dad when she was 35. When she got pregnant, she thought at first that she was in “change of life”. Surprise!

Mine I guess just kept having them, they were all 2 and 3 years apart. Then she thought she was done with my brother who was 4 years older than me.
I remember hearing my aunt say when she was pregnant that she had started going through the change and just thought she was getting fat because of that and had no other symptoms. Then one day she felt it moving and went to the doctor and was almost 5 months pregnant. To top it off she had him in the car about halfway to the hospital. They already had two grandkids when he was born.
