    Good morning beautiful people. I’ve had 4 days of unexpected company, which was very nice but also I’m beat, today I’m headed down to my mom’s house.

    I hope everyone is well, any Wooly sightings?

    Despite little marketing for the Pro-life film Unplanned, a movie that was marred with an R rating and typical negative reviews from mainstream outlets, the film still overcame and drew an impressive 6.5 million dollars opening weekend (despite only being in just over 1000 theaters nationwide). But to the surprise of no one, the pro-abortion Hollywood machine was not happy and sent out one of their many late night attack dogs to disavow it.

    Late night ‘comedian’ Samantha Bee went after the film for being “anti-choice”

    This weekend anti-choice propaganda movie surprised audiences with a not awful showing at the box office. It’s obviously ridiculous and no one should see it, but the trailer is honestly wonderful. Ordinarily, I wouldn’t waste precious time talking about a movie so bad, it makes ‘A Christmas Prince 2: Royal Wedding’ look like ‘Citizen Kane 2: A Christmas Cane’.

    Clearly, progressives like Samantha Bee are worried that they are starting to lose the debate on abortion and they fear that films like Unplanned are the reason they are losing that narrative. Unplanned remains in theaters now.

      I wish it was playing closer to me, but the closest is in Tulsa and I avoid Tulsa.

      I contacted the theaters in the towns around me and asked them to show it. One young lady at a chain owned theater told me they have received a lot of requests for the movie and have sent e-mails to the company.

        I admit that I don’t usually go to theaters to see movies – any movie. I will see it when it is streaming or available on DVD. The same thing I did for “Gosnell”.

          That’s usually what I do as well, but there are some I want to go to help their numbers. The problem is most of them are never playing near me, so I end up waiting for the DVD.

      Snowed here last night, adding to the 2 feet still covering the yard. More predicted tomorrow. But we’re above freezing for most of the day, so there’s hope. But winter is not quite past for us. I wish it would hurry up!

    Why is it the government always seems to think they need to rule us in order to protect us? Some people who home school abuse their kids, but they are a small percentage. Some public school kids are abused by their parents and on the rare occasion in my state it will be a teacher who alerts authorities. More cases though of teachers who have alerted authorities and cause hell for parents and kids who it’s proven never did anything to their kids.
    Not to mention in my state the number of teachers who are arrested for abusing or molesting kids is becoming a larger number than parents who are arrested abusing or molesting their kids.

    How about the government has no business checking in on us and we don’t need a nanny.

      Also public schools hate home school and online public school, they believe parents who home school are their enemy because it takes money away from them and they want those kids forced into public school. They also hate online public schools and right now in my state they are doing their best to smear the largest one, EPIC, because they are growing too fast and are getting more money.
      Why the heck would anyone other than a stupid democrat think that’s a good idea to have people who declare you an enemy to check in on you?

            They certainly don’t like that a growing number of parents are taking kids out of brick and mortar schools and either home schooling them or enrolling them in online public schools.

            Oh yeah, that’s my bet. They don’t give a crap about the welfare of kids or the government wouldn’t have kids in bathrooms with grown men, they wouldn’t be pumping little children full or hormones because, lets face the underlying why of the trans movement, they can’t reproduce themselves and in order to increase their number and power, they must steal, and hell yes, I mean steal children into their cult.

            They don’t care whether Sallie can add 2+2 and get four, they only care that she can use her pencil to darken the right circle on some test. They don’t want to teach or support kids like my grandson who have autism in mainstream schools but they jumped up and down and yelled “We can do it” because they get extra money.

            Nope, it is not about the government caring or protecting. It’s about people escaping the pre ordained system.

              But they use the emotional words, the poor children are dying, being abused, etc. and we must save the children. Idiots who only hear, children are dying and being abused, think we must allow them to save them from those cruel parents who home school their kids so they can abuse and kill them in secret.

              Just like in my state, they haven’t yet went after home school parents, but they’d have to change our state constitution to do so. They are however going after EPIC full force. It has nothing to do with caring about the children, it’s all about the money. Not only are they losing the per child per day money, EPIC enrollment went up while some of the biggest school districts enrollment went down. So, that meant an adjustment of money received, EPIC got an increase, they got a decrease. So they immediately started using their union talking points, EPIC is corrupt, they’re breaking the law, they aren’t held to the same standard we are, kids aren’t learning, kids are falling behind, etc. etc.

              Facts don’t matter, just like it doesn’t matter that some of the numbers look bad for some EPIC students because they’re kids who had fallen behind sitting in a classroom and it’s ignored that those same students do better the next year and year after that. All the while those same kids were doing worse every year in traditional public school.

              Nothing is ever for the kids when it comes to government or government ran schools, it’s all about the money, indoctrination and the perverts who are truly abusing children.

              I’m not the biggest fan of EPIC because they are still a government school, but they can’t indoctrinate kids the same as traditional public schools and they are doing more for less.

                A long time ago I wanted to be a high school math teacher, and I can honestly say I would have been awesome at it. I have the ability to show kids real life complex and interesting problems that use the formulas they think are so useless, plus I can just plain teach hard things.

                Somewhere along the line, I realized that I would either get fired for smacking smart aleck kids or brawling with deluded union group think teachers and administrators. Then there are really stupid parents. I think parents might be the worst of the batch. They ought to have their children’s best interests at heart, but in my experience their interactions and efforts in the schools are really power plays and ego driven stuff.

    This is something I’m trying today to get a jump on spring cool weather planting. Something anybody can do on a patio or deck. I’m planting a mesclun salad mix, a bit of beets (for greens), radishes, a dwarf variety of carrots (they look like little balls!), and some green onion – all from seeds.

    Later on I will plant a large tub with some of the same – radishes, onions, beets and carrots.

      I’m using a 16-quart bag of Miracle-Gro Moisture Control Potting Mix, and a large clear tub (116 quart, or 29 gallon, capacity). I also use one of these tubs to cover some of my plants inside the house (for moisture and protection from the cat!) It’s on a table in my south-facing window. I prop up an edge a little to allow excess condensation to dissipate.
